Foreign media: 10 US states have sued the Biden administration over the COVID-19 vaccine rules

Reference News Network reported on October 30 that according to the Associated Press, 10 states in the United States filed a lawsuit on the 29th local time, requesting to stop President Biden's order for the new crown pneumonia vaccine proposed by the federal contractor, on the grounds that this request violated federal law.

Attorneys generals from Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming signed off on the lawsuit. States have asked federal judges to block Biden's request that all federal contractor employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, on the grounds that the authorization violates federal procurement law and is an over-extension of federal power.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said in a statement: "If the federal government tries to use its will unconstitutionally to force federal contractors to authorize vaccinations, it could lead to a massive reduction in labor and businesses, further exacerbating the supply chain and labor crisis." "The federal government shouldn't make vaccination mandatory, so we're filing a lawsuit today to stop this illegal unconstitutional practice."

Biden reportedly believes that full approval of vaccination will help end the deadly pandemic, but Republicans across the country have opposed vaccination requirements and threatened to take a similar legal challenge. (Compiler/Liu Yuehua)
