1. Jiangsu post-80s district and county chief officials "great expansion"
On June 21, the Organization Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee announced a number of provincial management cadres before they took office. Among them, there are 8 post-80s cadres, who are proposed to be nominated as district and county chief officials. The youngest of the eight is Xu Yuan, born in 1983, who is currently the deputy secretary of the Suyu District Party Committee and deputy district chief of Suqian City ( suspended post ) , and the director of the Research Office (Propaganda Office) of the United Front Work Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, and intends to recommend nominations for county (city, district) mayors. According to public reports, before taking up his post in Suyu, Xu Yuan served as deputy director of the office of the United Front Work Department of the Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee and deputy director of the Liaison Office. Jiangsu currently has 10 post-80s district and county chief officials. After this round of adjustment, the number of district and county chief officials after the 80s in Jiangsu will increase to nearly 20.
2. The wild population of Dafeng elk appears on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River
In order to restore the wild population of elk along the beach in northern Jiangsu, the Dafeng Elk Sanctuary has been implementing since 1998 to release semi-free-range elk adapted to the ecological environment of the native area into nature. Wild elk that are stocked thrive normally along the beach. In June 2019, wild elk was found to have spread to Rudong City, Nantong, and on June 18, 2021, wild elk appeared in Qidongbei New Town on the north bank of the Yangtze River, showing a trend of spread along the Yangtze River wetlands. By the end of May 2021, the number of Dafeng elk populations had reached 6119, of which 2658 were wild elk, making it the elk population with the largest number of elk and the richest gene pool in the world.
