The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released data showing that in the first three quarters, China's software industry completed business revenue of 6.9 trillion yuan, an increase of 20.5% year-on-year, the compound growth rate of the past two years was 15.8%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the first half of the year, software and information technology service industry is showing a good development trend, revenue and profit both maintain steady growth.

The 20.5% increase is based on the improvement of research and development capabilities and the consolidation of the development foundation.

As a technology-intensive industry, the development and progress of the software industry has benefited from the continuous growth of research and development strength. Last year, the R&D expenditure of China's software enterprises increased by about 18% year-on-year; in the national software and information technology service industry, the number of R&D personnel reached 2.72 million, accounting for nearly 40% of the industry employees.

Among them, cloud computing and big data services achieved a total revenue of 557.3 billion yuan, an increase of 21.8% year-on-year.

The increase of 20.5% benefited from the strong support of broad application scenarios and huge market demand.

In the first three quarters, China's software products achieved revenue of 1.8 trillion yuan, an increase of 17% year-on-year. Among them, the revenue of industrial software products was 168.3 billion yuan, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year, accounting for 9.4% of the revenue of software products.
