After investigation by the public security organs, Li Mouxiao and others organized nearly 70 candidates from 19 provinces and cities across the country to cheat on the 2020 national master's degree examination, and the relevant cases have entered the stage of prosecution and trial.

On December 26, 2020, the staff of a 2020 national master's degree examination center in Changqing District, Jinan, found that someone had illegally carried cheating equipment during the examination process, and seized 4 sets of radio receiving equipment disguised as erasers on the spot, and immediately reported the case to the public security organs. The Shandong Provincial Public Security Department immediately organized the Jinan Municipal Public Security Bureau's Network Police Detachment and the Changqing District Public Security Sub-Bureau to set up a special case team to investigate and collect evidence overnight.
After police investigation, Song Xiaojun (pseudonym), a graduate of the class of 2021, signed up for the master's degree examination, but because his professional foundation was not solid, he started the idea of taking shortcuts from the side door. Through online search, Song Xiaojun found an advertisement for a crash course "Seven days of crash course, package you must pass, but refund", in the face of tens of thousands of yuan in training fees, he paid a deposit to sign up. But the so-called crash course is not outstanding, until the end of the training, the crash course teacher came up with a "killer" - a cheat.
According to the clues, the police preliminarily identified a criminal gang with Li Mouxiao, Zhang Mou and others as the main members to organize candidates to cheat on the examination. Subsequently, the police arrested Li Mouxiao, Li Mouzhi, Ding Moudong, Yin Moukun and other suspects in a hotel in Lixia District, Jinan City, and then arrested Zhang Moujun, Gao Moujun and other suspects.

After interrogation, Li Mouxiao and others confessed to the criminal facts of using the method of sending and receiving answers through transmitters and receivers to organize candidates to participate in cheating in the postgraduate examination at multiple examination centers in Changqing District, and the amount involved was more than 200,000 yuan. After a large number of investigations and evidence collection, the special case team arrested Yi Mouhai, who was suspected of introducing the purchase of cheating equipment and providing answers to examination questions, in April this year.
In May this year, Li Mouxiao, Zhang Mou, and Yi Mouhai were arrested with the approval of the Jinan Changqing District People's Procuratorate, and Ding Moudong, Yin Moukun, Gao Moujun, Li Mouzhi, and others were released on guarantee pending further investigation in accordance with the law, and the relevant cases have entered the stage of prosecution and trial. College student Song Xiaojun and others were counted in the candidates' integrity file due to cheating on the examination, resulting in zero test subject scores, reported to the Ministry of Education for the record, and notified to their schools, suspending participation in various national education examinations.
