June is a critical period for the growth of fish aquatic life and a golden opportunity to conserve aquatic biological resources. On June 6, the bosten lake flat snout mark stocking activity was held at the mouth of the bosten lake in Bohu County, Bazhou, Xinjiang. 50,000 national Grade I protected aquatic wild animals were released into Bosten Lake, an increase of more than 10,000 over last year, setting a new high in the calendar year.

At the scene of the release site of the Bosten Lake Dahekou Scenic Area, the fishery administration staff, together with the residents and volunteers, released the fry into the Bosten Lake. The release uses advanced marking methods, and each flatfish has its own "identity card" and is tracked and monitored by scanning.
Flatnose fish, also known as "giant panda in the water", commonly known as "big head fish", is a rare indigenous fish unique to China that is only distributed in the Tarim River Basin of Xinjiang, and was listed as a first-class protected endangered wild animal by the state in 1988, with high economic and academic value. More than 50,000 flatfish will be released in Lake Bosten this year, setting a record number and scale of stockings.
In order to conserve aquatic biological resources, promote the construction of ecological civilization, and protect the biodiversity of Bosten Lake, the local government has released flatnose fish in Bosten Lake for 12 consecutive years, and has so far released 410,000 flatfish to Bosten Lake, marking 190,000 stockings. Through artificial breeding and stocking, the flatnose fish population has been reproduced in Bosten Lake, which has also made the rescue and conservation work have achieved remarkable results.
Bosten Lake is China's largest inland freshwater lake, not only is the largest fishery production base in Xinjiang, but also the country's largest organic fish production surface, the lake is rich in pond swamp male fish, grass carp, crucian carp and other more than 10 fish species and 1.5 million mu of water have passed the State Environmental Protection Administration organic products and origin certification. Over the years, the local government attaches great importance to the development, utilization and protection of aquatic biological resources, and regards the conservation of aquatic biological resources as an important measure to improve the ecological environment of bosten lake waters and enhance ecological civilization, and continuously increases and releases to bosten lake every year. This year, it is planned to increase and release 4.4 million fish stocks such as grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp, and the number of fish species has increased to 32, effectively promoting the sustainable development of fisheries in the region.
