Carol: I didn't value what I had when I was at Liverpool and I should have accepted their ideas

Recently, former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll recalled his time with the Reds in an interview with The Athletic, saying that he did not cherish what he had at that time.

Carroll said, "That's crazy, I just bought a house in Newcastle and am doing renovations and things like that. Then I showed up at a hotel in Liverpool and I didn't know the city or anyone. It was something I couldn't grasp, I didn't know how to live there or how to work at that club. ”

"The way I played at Newcastle was what I wanted, but it was a completely different situation at Liverpool. I should accept their ideas and race the way they want to. In retrospect, I really didn't value what I had or what I might have achieved. ”

Carol recalls how quick the transfer was: "I remember I was training in the gym with Newcastle's physiotherapist Derrick Wright, and then the head coach (Alain Padu) called me out, we had an exchange, and then I took a shower and got on the plane while Derek was waiting for me to go back to the gym!" ”

Speaking about his future, Carroll said: "As long as I fit the club and each other, it doesn't really affect me which league I go to. Not knowing where I'm going to end up is the hardest thing to do, I might go to Reading, maybe back to Newcastle, maybe to the U.S. or Turkey, or anywhere else, it's unknown. ”

"My daughter was just in high school and I really didn't want my family to move away with me. They've been in Exes for the last two years and I'm in Newcastle and we'll meet on weekends and during school holidays and I really don't want that anymore. So when I get calls from Turkey and other parts of Europe, I don't know how to make a decision. Ideally, I would have liked to be playing right near my family, but if I can't do that, I don't mind going elsewhere. ”
