After a year, Yunnan ushered in a new provincial party secretary.

Beijing, 19 Oct (Xinhua) -- A few days ago, the CPC Central Committee decided that Comrade Wang Ning would be appointed as a member, standing committee member, and secretary of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee, and Comrade Ruan Chengfa would no longer hold the posts of secretary, standing committee, and member of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee.

Wang Ning, who took up his post as secretary of the new Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, previously served as deputy secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and governor of Fujian Province, and was an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee.

According to the official resume, Wang Ning, male, Han ethnicity, born in April 1961, Hunan Xiangxiang (born in Shenyang, Liaoning), joined the Communist Party of China in June 1983, joined the work in August 1983, university degree, senior engineer.

Wang Ning worked in the housing department for a long time, during which time he served in Xinjiang, and then in June 2013, he became the vice minister of housing and construction, and became a deputy ministerial cadre.

In December 2015, Wang Ning "parachuted" into Fujian and successively served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, the director of the Organization Department, the standing committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, the deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and the secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee. Since June 2020, Wang Ning has served as deputy secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, secretary of the party group of the provincial government, secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Fuzhou New District. Since July 2020, he has served as deputy secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, vice governor, acting governor and secretary of the party group of the provincial government, secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Fuzhou New District. In September of the same year, Wang Ning was elected governor of Fujian Province.

The post of Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee was previously held by Ruan Chengfa, who was born in October 1957.

Ruan Chengfa served as Vice Governor of Hubei Province, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice Governor of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee, Standing Committee Member of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province, and was appointed Secretary of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee in November 2020.
