As one of the important tasks to improve the rural living environment, Xu Shigang, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, introduced the work of Yantai's "14th Five-Year Plan" in rural domestic sewage treatment.
With the improvement of rural living standards, the sewage generated by rural cleaning, bathing, washing, etc. has also increased year by year, and rural domestic sewage has a certain impact on the rural ecological environment. In order to better collect rural domestic sewage, avoid rural environmental pollution, and further improve the rural living environment, during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, our city deeply implemented the three-year action of improving the rural living environment and the relevant requirements of the agricultural and rural pollution battle, and promoted the city's rural sewage treatment work in a cascade, in accordance with the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" national and provincial governance standards, the city focused on promoting the effective collection and control of rural sewage on the basis of rural toilets. The 5928 administrative villages included in the scope of governance in the city have completed a total of 2780 governance, with a cumulative governance rate of 46.9%.
In 2021, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Shandong Province issued a new "Requirements for acceptance of rural domestic sewage treatment", which clarified that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, rural domestic sewage should be effectively collected and treated. This year, the city plans to add at least 462 new administrative villages, and the sewage treatment of these new villages will mainly adopt the method of pipe management, construction of sewage treatment facilities and collection and centralized transportation. By 2025, the city will have completed the effective collection and treatment of 55% of the rural domestic sewage in administrative villages. In the next step, the city will strictly follow the new governance requirements, adapt to local conditions, reasonably choose a treatment method that not only meets the conditions of rural terrain and geology in our city, but also conforms to the wishes of the people, promotes rural sewage treatment in an orderly manner, and gradually improves the rural living environment.
