Tong Jia is a Manchu surname. Tong Jia was originally a Manchu place name, but later thought it was a surname.
The Tong Jia ethnic group is very complex, with many branches, and is a famous surname in Manchuria, and various Manchurian flags are distributed.
The Eight Banners of Manchurian Clan Genealogy Volume XIX records: "Tong Jia, the place name of the original lineage, because it is a surname, its clan is very complex, scattered in Macha, Yar Lake, Gaha, Tong Jia, and various places. ”
Tong Jia, today in Xinbin County, Liaoning Province. Among the Tong Jia clan, Tong Yangzheng and Tong Yang are the most famous.

The Eight Banners of Manchurian Clan Genealogy Volume 20 records:
"Tong Yangzheng. The Yellow Banner Man, who lived in Tongjia place, his ancestor Darhan TuMotu in the Ming Dynasty with Dongwang, Wang Zhaozhou, Suo Shengge, etc., traded with the near side, and then lived in Kaiyuan to follow fushun. In the fourth year of the Mandate of Heaven, the great soldiers recruited Ming, Kefu Shuncheng, and Yang Zheng returned with his brother and his clan. Emperor Taizugao, who was originally from Manchuria, ordered most of his people to live in Foala, and raised them for three years without sending any military service. Hou Yangzheng was meritorious from The Conquest of Liaoyang and was awarded the third class light vehicle lieutenant..."
Historical documents also record that Tong Yangzheng's grandson, uncle Tong Guowei, and several of his retainers were placed by the Kangxi Emperor under the banner of the Han army in the Eight Banners of Manchuria on March 17, 277 of the Kangxi Dynasty."
A beautiful woman in the Tong Yang family married the Kangxi Emperor and became his third noble concubine, Empress Xiaoyiren of the Kangxi Emperor, or Empress Dowager Hui of the Kangxi Emperor.
In the winter of the sixty-first year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1722), the Kangxi Emperor died in Changchun Garden at the age of 68.
The Kangxi Emperor ascended the throne at the age of 8, pro-government at the age of 14, reigned for 62 years, and was the longest reigning emperor in Chinese history, and his rule laid the foundation for the prosperity of the Qing Dynasty and created a great situation of Kangqian's prosperity, and some scholars respected him as "the first emperor of thousands of years".
The Kangxi Emperor, who lived a long life, had 55 children (35 sons and twenty daughters) in his lifetime, and there were dozens of harem concubines.
In the harem of frightening and deceitful steps, the concubines constantly staged scenes of intrigue and conspiracy in order to compete for favor and power.
However, among the many concubines, there was such a person, she could not give birth to a son and a half daughter for the Kangxi Emperor in her lifetime, but escaped the bloody storm in the palace, and then she ran the harem for more than twenty years, and died at the age of seventy-six, she was the third noble concubine of the Kangxi Dynasty, the noble concubine of the Emperor Wuhui Tong Jia.
Emperor Hui's noble concubine Tong Jiashi (佟佳氏), a Manchurian yellow flag bearer, was the daughter of Tong Guowei, the minister of the Interior and uncle of the Principality of Cheng'en. Her father, Tong Guowei, was the younger brother of The Kangxi Emperor's biological mother, Empress Xiaokangzhang, and was the kangxi emperor's maternal uncle.
Tong Guowei was also the elder brother-in-law of the Kangxi Emperor. Before Tong Jia entered the palace, her sister Tong Jia (both of them had the same surname) had already been given the title of Imperial Concubine (i.e., Empress Xiaoyiren), so The Noble Concubine Tong Jia was both a cousin and a sister-in-law of the Kangxi Emperor.
According to relevant historical records, in the thirty-ninth year of Kangxi, the Kangxi Emperor crowned three concubines, Tong Jia was made a noble concubine, the mother of the eight brothers, Wei Shi, was made a good concubine, and a woman of the Guar Jia clan was named a concubine.
At this time, in the harem, the three empresses of the Kangxi Emperor, Empress Xiaochengren of the Hesheli clan (died in the thirteenth year of Kangxi), Empress Xiaozhaoren of the Niuhulu clan (died in the seventeenth year of Kangxi), and her sister Empress Xiaoyiren of the Tong Jia clan (died in the twenty-eighth year of Kangxi) had all died.
At this time, there was neither an empress nor an imperial concubine in the harem, and among the harems, the highest status was Tong Jiashi, who had just turned thirty-two years old.
This canonization turned Tong Jia from an ordinary concubine into a de facto lord of the harem. In the canonization of Tong Jia as a noble concubine, the Kangxi Emperor praised:
Er Tong's birth was born into a famous door, and he asked. Rou Jia Middle Festival. Respectful and cautious, the wind of poetry, ke bo Qing Fen Yu Tong Guan. Virtue is manifested in the merits of women's obedience and practical praise. ”
It can be seen that Tong Jiashi is a gentle and courteous person who is deeply recommended by everyone in the harem. For the next twenty-two years, Tong Jia was in charge of the affairs of the harem, which shows the depth of the Kangxi Emperor's trust in her.
Unfortunately, the Tong Jia clan did not give birth to a son and a half daughter for the Kangxi Emperor. In the last year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the elderly Kangxi Emperor saw his talented and intelligent little emperor grandson, Hongli (later qianlong emperor), during a family banquet in Changchun Garden, and took him into the palace to raise him, and it was the noble concubine Tong Jia who was responsible for raising the emperor's grandson.
Because of this opportunity, Tong Guifei also received supreme glory afterwards. After the death of the Kangxi Emperor, the Yongzheng Emperor felt that Tong Guifei had raised his beloved son, and promoted Tong Jia's honorific title to Emperor Kao Guifei and paid great respect to him.
In the thirteenth year of Yongzheng, the Yongzheng Emperor died, and Hongli took the throne as the Qianlong Emperor. The Qianlong Emperor had more respect for this old man who had raised him, and was honored as the imperial concubine of Emperor Shouqi.
In the booklet, the Qianlong Emperor said: "I have been a child since I was a child. Yang Meng Emperor's ancestors were kind. Nurture the palace. He also ordered the imperial concubines to take them to the audience. Be diligent and thorough. I can't forget it. ”
In April of the eighth year of Qianlong, Emperor Shouqi's noble concubine Tong Jiashi (佟佳氏薨), died at the age of seventy-six, and was honored as a noble concubine of Emperor Huihui.
