Develop a small universe to experience "I can do it"! Guangzhou Haizhu hosted the first Fusion Games

It is understood that the idea of holding a fusion sports meeting comes from a research and training activity of the special education "fusion sports" project team in Haizhu District, and nearly 20 physical education teachers from different schools in the district have mentioned "the importance of physical exercise for improving the quality of life of students with special needs", calling for the creation of a platform for students with special needs to show their sports style. Such an idea was quickly paid attention to and supported by the leaders of the Haizhu District Education Bureau, and the organizing committee completed the activity planning, program writing, organization registration, student training and other work in just over half a month, which fully reflected the high-level work efficiency of the Haizhu District Integrated Sports Project Team.

Xiaoxing (pseudonym), a student in the class of Guangzhou No. 97 Middle School, sighed that in the past, the organizers who provided a display platform for students with special needs were mostly social non-governmental organizations, and the administrative departments sponsored less. The Haizhu District Education Bureau hosted the Integration Games this time, which reflects the importance that the Education Bureau attaches to the healthy development of students with special needs. "I am a parent, and Xiaoxing and I cherish this opportunity very much, and we applied for two events: two-man three-legged and football shots around obstacles. In each physical education class, Xiao Xing, Xiao Chi (another special needs student, pseudonym) and the friends in the class are very active in practicing. Watching the children train hard, I was very happy and full of expectations. ”

The father of Xiaohong (pseudonym), a student in the industrial avenue primary and secondary school, is nervous and expectant, and he believes that being able to participate in such a sports meeting shows that the child's ability is recognized by the school. At the Games, the child becomes the protagonist, everyone will cheer and cheer for him, the child can feel everyone's attention and love, and have a sense of existence. "Grades are not the most important, experience opportunities are precious, so that our children also know how to win glory for the collective, fight for honor, develop their small universe, and better integrate into society!"

As one of the old three districts of Guangzhou, the Haizhu District Education Bureau has long attached importance to the promotion of integrated education, and has always been committed to "providing adaptive education for every learner", based on fairness, respect for differences, development of potential, to provide students with a diversified development platform, so that every student can become the best of themselves. According to incomplete statistics, in the past five years, Haizhu District has provided referral assessment and placement services for nearly 300 students with special needs in the district, provided special education full training for nearly 30,000 front-line integrated education teachers in the district in the past ten years, and built a "six-division" team through the three-level linkage research and training mechanism to greatly promote the professional growth of front-line teachers in special education, and teachers have won more than 100 awards in provincial and municipal special education related evaluation activities.
