Wang Mian, former secretary of the party committee, director and chief inspector of the North Bank Branch of the Putian Municipal Public Security Bureau, died on September 23 due to long-term overload and overwork, and after ineffective rescue. In order to study and carry forward Comrade Wang Mian's advanced deeds and lofty spirit, and to guide and encourage the city's public security people's police, civilians, and auxiliary police to invigorate their spirits and do solid work, the Putian City Public Security Bureau Committee of the CPC has decided to carry out activities to learn from Comrade Wang Mian in the city's public security organs.

Wang Mian, male, from Hanjiang District, born in February 1972, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He has successively served as the deputy chief of the comprehensive section of the public security detachment of the Putian City Public Security Bureau, the instructor and captain of the three major teams, the member of the party committee and the deputy director of the Xiuyu Branch. In January 2014, he was responsible for the preparation of the North Shore Branch Bureau, serving as the Secretary of the Party Committee, The Director and the Chief Inspector of the Branch, and in August 2021, he was transferred to the Senior Sheriff of the Fourth Level of the Municipal Bureau. He was awarded the honors of "National Security System Investigation and Case Handling Expert" and "Provincial Excellent People's Police".

After being diagnosed with a serious illness in 2015, he was not afraid of illness, strong and optimistic, could not put down the work in the bureau, and returned to work as soon as his condition improved slightly, he often said: "I would rather fall on the post than lie on the hospital bed." In June this year, his condition recurred, and at the moment of the security decisive battle on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party, he endured the pain of illness, still insisted on eating and living in the bureau, and personally went to the front line to deploy and supervise the implementation of security work. Under the repeated persuasion of his family and comrades-in-arms, he went to Shanghai twice on June 13 and July 8 for treatment. During the period, he also commanded and dispatched by telephone to guide the advancement of key work, and his condition eased slightly, and he resolutely returned to his post despite the persuasion of doctors and family members. To learn from Comrade Wang Mian is to take the initiative to benchmark against the table like he did, to press ahead with self-pressure, to work hard to take responsibility, to crack down illegal crimes without being soft-hearted, and to forge a tough man's qualities of being particularly able to endure hardships, fight in special combat, and dedicate himself to special efforts.
