In high school, I was fascinated by Hayao Miyazaki, watched all of Miyazaki's anime, and in "Borrowing Little Man Arieti", I saw The Little Man again. This time the little man did not live in the forest, but lived at home. It turns out that they are not high hats, long beards, they are just a miniature version of us, like elves, cute and beautiful. Later, I saw the movie "Dwarf", isn't this human dwarfism? So does he belong to the dwarfs? I wondered.
It just so happens that this "Dwarf" just helped me answer my questions. As soon as I got this book, I couldn't put it down, it was a beautiful picture book! The book "Dwarf" was translated by Lin Liang, winner of the Bunjin Book Award and the Golden Tripod Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the translator Pan Renmu. I am really grateful to the author Will Hagen and his friend Ryan Putwooder, who described the life of the dwarfs and let us follow them to wander the ocean of imagination and swim with the dwarfs. After looking at his skeletal drawings, I finally knew what the dwarf looked like; looking at the floor plan of his house, I suddenly realized that the dwarf's home was a sparrow, although it was small and complete; listening to the dwarf telling stories; I personally felt the joy and sorrow of the characters; following the dwarf, we saved the voles and helped the sick aunt.
