Let's first look at how BMC is performing. After all, it is a machine produced in Germany, and its internal layout, workmanship, metalwork, are very beautiful. Both visually and tactilely, it is very likable. When we connected it to the system of this audition, as soon as it was opened, it gave people a feeling of freshness, refinement and purity.
First of all, to introduce the equipment of this audition, the speaker is 1/2 of the Sbenda classical series, which continues the british traditional design; the amplifier is Li Magnetic's 219, a very popular domestic gall machine; the wire is not sloppy, we connect the BMC and the digital turntable, and also use a good coaxial and balanced wiring. This system is not lacking in atmosphere, warmth, and fullness, and if the requirements are strict, we hope that it can be more delicate. The character of BMC is still very suitable for such a system, which adheres to the consistent style of German equipment, rational, fast, clear, but without losing the appeal of music.
When we played Frederman's Sarasati Wanderer Song, the strings of the violin were clearly visible, the sound of the cavity resonance was also very complete, and more rarely, the slight change in the strength of Friedman's kneading of the strings was also clearly audible. The sadness of music, the crying of the violin, the loneliness of the wanderer, the listener can feel it. Basically, the replay of strings is hard to beat.
Let's test the piano and see if it can meet the bigger challenge. When playing Rubenstein's Chopin Nocturne, its piano touches are also clearly visible, although the sense of weight is slightly lacking, but the wood flavor of the intermediate frequency is still there; what is valuable is that the piano's overtones extend naturally, and the fluency of the music is very good.
Will such a sound satisfy the discerning enthusiast? Or let's say so, it's enough for you to enjoy the music quietly. However, for the harsh audiophiles, it is still hoped that the sound density can be better, the sound fullness can be better, and the texture of the instrument can be better.

It's now the turn of the Sperm D1000 to come out. If you lift this seemingly lightweight machine on the spot, it is estimated that you will be surprised, it weighs about 15KG. It is already a precursor in weight, and the workmanship is exquisite.
Why is a decoding so heavy? One I guessed that it used enough material in the power supply part, and the other I also guessed that its chassis was also full of effort. But I also have a worry, that is, will its voice lack spirituality because of this? I don't know, let's not judge people by their appearance, and then make conclusions after the music starts.
Similarly, I still auditioned the Sperm D1000 on the Li Ci 219 Push Benda, and the wire was not changed, so that it was more comparable. We were connected by coaxial at first, and the sound was still relatively close to what I expected. Flat and stable, lack of point of life, density and texture and BMC comparison, is also similar.
When playing the Song of the Wanderer, the violin's appeal seems to be less powerful than BMC, and the fullness of the piano cavity seems to be worse; the piano's touch keys are also a little more metallic, which is a little tougher, and the fluency is also average. When I was disappointed to make a conclusion, a friend suggested, why not try the HDMI interface behind the Evoque decoding? Everyone thinks it's a comparison anyway, so you might as well try it. With the mentality of trying it out, we connected a pair of ordinary HDMI cables, and after the opening sound, I was surprised. Why? It's just a different connection method, and the sound is several grades higher than when using the coaxial axis. Density, texture, fullness, overtones, etc., all have a very large positive improvement, and the digital flavor is almost gone.
We played the Song of the Wanderer again, and the violin seemed to emerge, the texture, the strings, the density, the fullness were very good. Playing Chopin's nocturne, Rubenstein's playing, as if in front of your eyes, the performance of the music is greatly improved. In this way, the sound is not much worse than that of CDs at the same price. Of course, the fine sound is not perfect, if you can adjust the balance, the beauty of the sound is modified on top, it will make the listener like it more.
Recent tests, let me can't help but wonder, the new HDMI interface is better than the traditional coaxial interface, is the amount of information loss less?
