When I took the Tuner FM out of the box, my first impression was that it was heavy and heavy in my hand. Looking closely, it is black throughout, it is a rectangle with a relatively rounded body, and a sentence suddenly appeared in my mind: a black fat man.
The front and top of the Tuner FM are covered by an integrated flared cover, and the JBL brand logo in white font and orange background is located in the center of the front, which contrasts with the black color throughout, which is very eye-catching. The upper left of this logo is a small screen with a square of 5.5 * 1.2 cm, and the display method of the screen is more unique: white characters on a black background. These two features mainly test its audio playback performance, that is, the expressiveness and appeal of the speaker sound.
Coincidentally, I also have the Hive 2C I bought many years ago, which is also a Bluetooth player with audio input and is similar in size to the Tuner FM. Therefore, I used the Huawei Honor V10 mobile phone as the sound source, connected the Tuner FM and the Hive 2C with the audio cable, and selected two tracks from the "Saint-Saëns Portfolio" to compare the sound quality of the two machines.

Tuner FM plays this song with a wide range of sound, momentum and strength, but without losing a softness, especially in the small climax of 5 minutes 26 seconds to 6 minutes 17 seconds, its sound quality is thick, powerful, solid, and a shocking feeling comes to the face. When The Hive 2C plays this song, the tone is light and slightly dry. Even during the small climax of the song, there is a lack of some bass appeal.
So, overall, in my opinion, tuner FM's external sound quality is slightly better than that of the Hive 2C.
<h1>Fourth, even if it is a big brand, it is inevitable that there will be small problems</h1>
Although JBL is an internationally renowned brand, after a few days of using and experiencing Tuner FM, I found that it had some minor problems, some of which were problems with hardware configuration, and some of which were problems with software design.
First, the key surface of the button at the top of the fuselage is too small, the key range is short, and the feel is stiff. My hands are not large and my fingers are not thick, however, when using the top buttons, it feels like the 12 buttons have a relatively small key face. Worse still, the key faces are one and flush, and if you close your eyes, you can't distinguish between these keys just by the touch of your fingertips. At the same time, the key range of the button is short, but the feel is extremely stiff, and it needs to be pressed down with great force, note: it is a big force. All in all, these 12 keys are very difficult to use, and I think this is the biggest failure of Tuner FM in design.
Second, the logic of manipulation is somewhat cumbersome. The operating logic of tuner FM is that when the small screen is lit, the control of any function is only necessary to press the corresponding button; however, if the power-on and small screen is off, first press any key to light up the small screen, and then press the corresponding function button.
For example, if I'm listening to the radio and the small screen is off, I want to enable bluetooth. Then, my correct operation is: (1) Press any button on the machine, such as the switch key, the automatic search key, etc., so that the small screen lights up first. (2) Press the Bluetooth button. In this way, you can switch to the Bluetooth player working mode.
It can be seen that in most cases, the function control that can be completed in one step needs to be completed in two steps on The Tuner FM, and its control logic is simple or cumbersome, it is already clear at a glance, right?
Third, the screen is a bit too small and does not match its price of 799 yuan. From the price point of view, Tuner FM is also a high-end model, which could have been equipped with a larger area display, so that the information displayed is richer, more diverse, and more humane. However, the designer chose a slender, narrow screen. The font displayed is also relatively small, for people with myopia in the eyes, for the elderly with poor vision, it is difficult and inconvenient to see the frequency displayed on the screen and other information.
