Deng Lun won the first instance against internet user infringement

On August 21, 2019, according to Beijing Xingquan Law Firm, actor Deng Lun v. Ji Ying Network Infringement Liability Dispute Case (Right to Reputation) won the first instance.

It is reported that the defendant Ji *Ying was suspected of personally attacking Deng Lun because he posted several blog posts containing suspected insulting words such as "Insert Knife Teaching New Teacher" and "Yin Bing" on his Weibo account "Li Dabao's Cake" (current nickname: "Si Xiang Yu _ Refused to Cross the Road", UID: 2236906543) and other suspected insulting words. Subsequently, Deng Lun entrusted Beijing Xingquan Law Firm to sue the network user to the Beijing Internet Court in accordance with the law.

After trial, the Beijing Internet Court held that the defendant constituted an infringement of Deng Lun's right to reputation, and within 10 days of the effective date of the judgment, he must publicly issue an apology statement in the top position of the weibo account involved in the case for 90 consecutive days, apologize to Deng Lun, and compensate Deng Lun for moral damage and reasonable expenses totaling RMB20,000 in accordance with the law.
