How poisonous are pufferfish?
Tetrodotoxin is mainly found in the skin and internal organs of pufferfish, especially in the ovaries and liver, and 0.5 mg of tetrodotoxin can be life-threatening. In addition, the toxin of the pufferfish is a neurotoxin, and its toxicity is more than 1200 times higher than the highly toxic sodium cyanide!
