Makes up a great movie
This is America's "Twelve Angry Men."
The shooting cost is extremely low, but the thought capacity is extremely large.
In the film, 12 members of the jury debate passionately over whether a teenager should be convicted of murder and sentenced to death.
The vote on whether the boy was guilty changed dramatically: at first 11 people were found guilty and 1 person objected, then 9:3, 8:4, 6:6, 3:9, 1:11, and finally 0 to 12, the jury unanimously found the boy innocent.
The plot gradually enters a better situation, and the climax is repeated, which is addictive.
More importantly, the jury system, law and human nature shown in it are thought-provoking!
The 12 members of the jury and the defendant are unknown to each other, and the members do not know each other, there is no intersection, and they discuss the cases in question in order to ensure the objectivity and fairness of the trial to the greatest extent.
It also avoids the occurrence of unjust, false and wrongly decided cases to the greatest extent. Compared with wronged good people, it is better to let go of bad people. After all, the former cannot be remedied, the damage it causes is irreversible, and the latter is still possible to recover.
But jury members are not gods, and the jury system is not perfect.
In the fierce quarrels and the repeated shows of hands, the prejudices of human nature, blindness, selfishness and the courage, wisdom, rationality, and love of life are entangled and vividly displayed.
Some people have the courage to fight the majority alone, even if they become lonely in the group, they still resolutely defend my right to vote, and disagree is disagree.
Some people just want to go home early to watch the ball, they completely disregard the life and death of a life, casually raise their hands to echo, follow the flow, just want to end early.
Some people are prejudiced to believe that all people born in slums are morally corrupt and that it is not a pity to die, even if there is not enough evidence.
Some people, starting from their own family experience, turned their failure to educate their children to the defendant, and the defendant's alleged murder reminded him of his child's rebellion, which made him unbearable, and he only begged to execute the defendant quickly, thus venting his psychological anger.
And so on and so forth —"
The nominal trial of the teenager is in fact a profound test of human nature, which is the classic of The Twelve Angry Men.
The big picture of the movie is not in the big production, big investment, big stars, big scenes, but in the clever conception of the plot and the repeated polishing of human nature!
Big-budget movies tend to be big bad movies.
At the end, attach the classic lines of the movie for everyone to enjoy:
1. This gentleman has been fighting against us alone. He didn't say the child was innocent, he just said he couldn't be sure he was guilty. It's not easy to fight ridiculous rhetoric alone, so he desperately wants to win support, and I support him because I agree with his motives. That kid may have actually killed someone, but I'd like to hear more testimony.
2, we will come here, not to quarrel. We have a heavy responsibility. I've always felt that this is the virtue of a democratic society. We receive letters and are told to come here and decide whether a person who lives with us is guilty or not, and no matter what kind of judgment we make, we will not gain or lose, and that is why our country can be so powerful.
3) If you are going to vote not guilty, it must be because you believe... The defendant is indeed innocent, not because you feel bored. If you feel he's guilty and you have to keep going, don't you have the kind to do what you think is right?
4, in the face of this kind of thing, it is really difficult to exclude personal prejudice, no matter where we go, prejudice always obscures the truth, I really don't know what the truth is, I think no one should know what the truth is, but we are betting on a possibility, maybe we are wrong, we may let go of a murderer, I don't know, no one knows, but we have raised reasonable doubts, that is a very precious thing in our judicial system, unless it is very certain, the jury cannot convict the defendant.
