█ Watch fans who are familiar with Vacheron Constantin know that each piece of the loft craftsman is a unique customized timepiece of Vacheron Constantin, and also represents the exquisite fusion of fine watchmaking skills and extraordinary craftsmanship. Recently, Vacheron Constantin's attic craftsman department launched a Les Cabinotiers Attic Craftsman Westminster Bell Chiming Chimes Pocket Watch according to the collector's wishes.

The pocket watch is equipped with the new brand's self-made 3761 movement, with the function of large self-chiming and tourbillon, and the team of watchmakers responsible for research and development is the original team of Vacheron Constantin's complex function timepiece - reference number 57260. The Art Deco craftsmanship of this timepiece is equally exquisite. From the bezel and back to the side of the watch, there are exquisite hand-carved patterns, and the pendant ring above the case is carved with two lifelike lion heads. The caseback, by the master of enamel anagram Anita Porchet, uses micro-painted enamel to recreate the classic masterpiece "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by the Dutch painting giant Johannes Vermeer.
The Attic Craftsman Westminster Bell Self-Chiming Pocket Watch - "Tribute to Johannes Vermeer" is equipped with a new hand-wound movement, containing 806 parts, precisely adjusted by tourbillon, with Westminster bells big chime, small chime and three-question chime function. Among all kinds of complication models, the large self-sounding timepiece always shines with a unique charm, not only because it is equipped with a number of sets of sound spring sound devices, which show the exquisite complexity of the mechanical structure, but also because of its melodious chime music. The name "Westminster Bells" is derived from the famous Big Ben on the British Houses of Parliament Clock Tower at Westminster In London, which is a four-bar melody composed of four notes of different frequencies. In the Grand Chime mode, the timepiece announces the full quarter of an hour and hour at each full tick. The calibre 3761 is equipped with two barrels that provide a power reserve of 15 to 18 hours for the Music Chimes in the mode of large self-homing and an 80-hour power reserve for the time display, always maintaining a stable torque output until the power is completely exhausted.
This newly created calibre 3761, with a diameter of 71 mm and a thickness of 17 mm, is precisely regulated by a tourbillon. The tourbillon is located in the lower part of the movement, and through the caseback, you can see that this ingenious device rotates continuously at a speed of one revolution per minute, driven by a balance wheel with a vibration frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vibrations per hour). The movement is equipped with Westminster Bell Chimes, which is one of the most complex mechanical structures, requiring five reeds to transmit sound, each of which corresponds to an independent hammer control, driven by four racks, and strikes the reeds in turn to transmit a harmonious and wonderful bell sound.
The officer-style caseback uses the Miniature Enamel technique of Geneva techniques to recreate the famous painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" created by the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer around 1665. It is not easy to vividly reproduce the master's masterpiece, not to mention the difficulty of presenting the subtleties of this painting between the square inches of 98 mm in diameter. The side of the case is a beautiful hand-carved band consisting of a sauce leaf and tulip flower, and the outer edge is decorated with a carved pattern like a "pearl". The hoops are carved with a pair of roaring lion heads, carved from a single piece of gold.
The work began in 2013 and was painstakingly developed by the Attic Crafts Department over an eight-year period, combining Vacheron Constantin's exquisite watchmaking skills with extraordinary artistic craftsmanship. Turning a watch collector's dream into reality also confirms the collector's firm belief that "enthusiasm is the perseverance to pursue theoretically impossible goals."
