"In 2018, after graduating from henan animal husbandry and economics college, I worked in the beverage industry, and after working for a long time, I met a bug merchant who raised bean worms, and I learned that the bean worms in the soybean field in my hometown could even be sold for money." During the interview, Wang Yanbo of Dongwangzhuang Township, Yiyang County, Luoyang City, told reporters. After graduating from college, he returned to his hometown to raise bean worms, not only became rich himself, but also led the villagers to get rich together, and the 26-year-old boy became a "different" in the eyes of the villagers.
After graduating from college, he returned to his hometown to raise bean worms, and the 26-year-old boy in Luoyang was called a "fool"
Wang Yanbo, a native of Qiancun Village, Dongwangzhuang Township, was admitted to Henan Animal Husbandry Economics College in 2015, majoring in new energy in the Department of Energy and Power Engineering, and after graduating from university, he worked as a beverage agent in Zhengzhou with friends.
How did Wang Yanbo embark on the road of insect breeding? It turned out that when he was in Zhengzhou, he happened to meet a bug merchant from the south, and he knew for the first time that the "pests" that could be seen everywhere in the fields of his hometown could be sold for money.
"This bean worm is called a 'pest' in Luoyang, but in the south it is fragrant, bean worms are rich in protein, and many southerners love to eat it." Wang Yanbo said.
"At that time, I went to their insect base to investigate, and after the inspection, I felt that this thing could be done, so I invested a small amount of money in one of their bases to raise bean worms on a few acres of land." Wang Yanbo said.
With the hometown around the "one township, one industry" and "one village and one product" to create characteristic industries, to help rural revitalization, characteristic planting industry, aquaculture industry are developing in full swing, various preferential policies, a variety of support paths have been introduced, strongly attract talents to return to their hometown to start a business. In 2019, Wang Yanbo decided to return to his hometown for development. "Try planting 5 acres of land first to see if the climate in your hometown is suitable for the growth of bean worms." He said.
Wang Yanbo said: "Some villagers think I am very strange, some people say, 'What is wrong with going to college, I have to go home and farm, is it a bit silly?' In fact, as long as what you want to do is correct, you can do it, and you don't have to care too much about what others say. ”
After a year of exploration, Wang Yanbo found that the soil of his hometown is very suitable for the growth of the northeast green beans needed to grow bean worms, bean worms grow well, in addition to breeding bean worms himself, he also buys bean worms in farmers' soybean fields, seeing that novel ideas have become real money and silver, he feels that his choice is not wrong.
After the success of the trial breeding, he transferred 280 acres of land to raise bean worms and became the "bean worm king"
Wang Yanbo gave full play to the advantages of post-95 thinking and flexible mind, and with the support of family and friends, in 2020, more than 280 mu of land was transferred in zuogou, Hujiapo and Dengling three natural villages, and slowly explored the bean worm industry combining planting and breeding.
"Raising bean worms is the most worry-free, because it is a pest itself, so it is not afraid of pests, neither need to be sprayed, nor do you need to manage, when you collect, hire the surrounding villagers to help catch bean worms, and the remaining green beans that have been harvested can also be sold." Wang Yanbo said.
According to its introduction, bean worm breeding invests more than 6,000 yuan per mu, a one-time investment, and can collect bean worms 3 times a year. The field grows northeast green beans, an acre of insects about 200 pounds, each pound of fresh insects about 35 yuan a pound, soil insects about 70 yuan a pound, only rely on small bean worms, you can achieve an average yield of 12,000 yuan per mu, net profit of about 6,000 yuan of considerable income.
One person is not rich, and everyone is led to get rich together
Raising bean worms is a rare thing in itself, but every year when it comes to harvesting worms, it is necessary to hire villagers to help catch bean worms, and many villagers are afraid of fat bean worms, "In the first year of raising bean worms, I was looking at bean worms that had not yet grown, and a very large wild bean worm suddenly crawled out of the soybeans, and I was shocked." Wang Yanbo said, "After a long time, everyone has slowly accepted, and now they all rely on the villagers to help collect bean worms and earn a salary at the doorstep of their homes." ”
Wang Yanbo's bean worm enrichment road has been supported and recognized by his family, "My family, especially my girlfriend, is not afraid of this bean worm, she has her own job, and she does not often go to the field, but they are very supportive of my work." He said.
Wang Yanbo often said that he is not a skill to be rich, and it is the real skill to lead the villagers to get rich. Relying on the breeding technology accumulated on the Internet, reading and practicing, Wang Yanbo taught it to the villagers free of charge. This year, he plans to set up a cooperative, and establish an exclusive sales point for the Lianyungang bean worm trading market, expand the bean worm farming into a interlocking and mature industrial chain, let more villagers participate in bean worm farming, get rent through the circulation of land, get commissions for land labor, and get cash for bean worm sales, so as to drive everyone to join the "worm" industry and walk out of a different way to get rich.
