Collaboration with the Brazilian research team
The study of the early Cretaceous pterosaur fauna in Hami, Xinjiang
The first large dinosaur fossils to be discovered
Two new dinosaur species were named
This result
Beijing time on August 13
Published in the international academic journal Scientific Reports

This time it was discovered
3 dinosaur fossils
Both belong to the sauropod class of porous vertebrates
None of the fossils are complete
A section of the cervical spine is preserved separately
One caudal vertebra and one recommended vertebrae
There is also one that is kept with the tail vertebrae

Based on cervical spine features
A new genus of the genus Panpoda was established
Dragon of the Chinese Silk Road
Based on tail vertebrae features
A new genus of dragons was established
Xinjiang Hami Dragon
Wang Xiaolin, researcher at the Institute of Paleovertebrate Vertebrate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences:
The Chinese Silk Road Dragon preserves 6 relatively complete cervical vertebrae linked together, with a conservative estimated body length of more than 20 meters. The length of the Xinjiang Hami dragon is about 17 meters. These two large dinosaurs were also the first to be found in the Hami pterosaur fauna in Xinjiang.
Three dinosaur fossils
It is found in the Hamituha Basin in Xinjiang
The lower chalky tugulu group won the Golden Mouth Group
The era of life dates back about 130 million to 120 million years ago

This study
Sauropod dinosaurs
It is one of the Hami Pterodactyl fauna
The first discovery of non-pterosaur vertebrates
Both are produced in the equivalent strata of hami pterosaur fossils
It is understood
Since 2006
Institute of Paleovertebrate Vertebrate, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Conducted scientific expeditions in the Hamilgobi for more than ten consecutive years
Rare Hami pterosaur fauna was discovered
This region has become

Through more than a decade
Scientific investigation and rescue collection
Not only is it discovered for the first time
Three-dimensional preservation of male and female pterosaur individuals
A large number of them were also found
Pterosaur eggs and pterosaur embryos symbiotic with them

This time it was found and studied
China's Silk Road Dragon and Xinjiang Hami Dragon
Increased the diversity of the Hami Pterodactyl fauna
The emergence of new dinosaur fossils
For the evolution of this dinosaur taxon
New information is provided
