Webb: I'm not ashamed of losing to the Lakers in '02, we did our best

NBA star Chris Weber talked about the 2002 playoff showdown with the Lakers in an interview with the media today.

"We didn't win the series in 2002, but we were facing one of the best teams in history and I think in a seven-game series, one or two points determines the winner or loser, it was a real showdown and I feel like there's never been a showdown like this. Kobe (Bryant) rest in peace, but we used to talk a lot about this series, and Shaquille and I would definitely talk about it, and I know it's one of the highlight moments of their careers, which is why you know it's different. Weber said.

"I'm not ashamed of losing to the Lakers, I know we did our best, and as athletes, I'm grateful to be ready for a moment like this." They have two Hall of Famers, Horry the Big Heart, Hall of Fame coach, Michael Jordan's coach, but they can barely beat us, in an era when the league didn't want small-ball teams to win. Anyway, I'm proud that I've fought, I'm proud to be playing alongside Doug Christie, Mike Bibby, Peggy, Vlad (Divac), Bobby Jackson, and I'm proud to be able to look them in the eye because we've done our best. Weber said.
