The breeds of chickens are divided into three categories according to production performance: one is the egg type, the second is the meat type, and the third is the egg meat type. Among them, egg-type chickens have the highest egg production rate, followed by egg-meat combined chickens, and meat-type chickens have the lowest egg production rate. Under normal circumstances, the meat type chicken is out of the bar for 40-120 days, and there is basically no chance to lay eggs.
Which chickens have more eggs? High-yielding layer chickens, of course. From the perspective of genetic potential, there is no significant difference in the egg production rate of high-yielding layer chickens, and if the level of breeding management is good, the annual egg production can reach 280-300.
According to the color of the eggshell, the high-yielding layer chicken is divided into three series: powder shell, white shell and brown shell.
1. Powder shell high-yielding layer chicken. Domestic varieties mainly include Nongda No. 3, Dawu Jinfeng, Dawufeng No. 1, Jingbai 939, Jingfeng No. 1, Jingfeng No. 2, Xinyang Black Chicken; foreign varieties mainly include Roman powder, Highland grey, Roman ash.
2. White-shelled high-yielding layer chickens. The domestic varieties are mainly Jingbai 938, and the foreign varieties mainly include Roman white and Highland white.
3. Brown shell high-yielding layer chicken. The domestic varieties are mainly Jinghong No. 1, and the foreign varieties mainly include Highland brown, Roman brown and Hessex brown.
Judging from the market share of high-yielding layer chickens, domestic breeds and foreign breeds are currently divided equally. From the perspective of eggshell color, pink shell eggs are the most popular, followed by brown shell eggs, and white shell eggs fall off the tail of the car.
