Interview Group: Hello Teacher Cheng! You and Comrade Yang Shanzhou are fellow countrymen, the age difference is not big, both say that Comrade Yang Shanzhou's lover Zhang Yuzhen is not a simple woman, please talk about your views on the elderly Zhang Yuzhen.
Cheng Rongfang: Comrade Shanzhou and I are fellow countrymen and deeply inspired by the wonderful life of Shanzhou. As the secretary of the former Baoshan Mountain Committee, Yang Shanzhou has won many honors because of his outstanding deeds. Behind the honor, people have never forgotten that behind him there is a woman who is silently dedicated and has persevered in the past - Zhang Yuzhen.
I recall Zhang Yuzhen 60 years ago, a strong, simple and industrious village girl, she was wise, virtuous, kind, honest and simple. She is a solid backer standing behind Yang Shanzhou, and it is the spiritual force that supports Yang Shanzhou to move forward bravely. Yang Shanzhou is a well-known official in Baoshan, young and old, and the aura of an official is close at hand but far away for Zhang Yuzhen. Zhang Yuzhen did not know what kind of official Yang Shanzhou was in Baoshan, "He was his official, and I was my farmer." Zhang Yuzhen said. What a calm, simple and generous word. According to Yao Guan's proverb: You take your Yangguan Road, and I cross my canoe bridge. She wears gold and silver, lives in a small western-style building, she does not have a share, and she is willing to work as a herder in Daliushui.
"Live a life of poverty and poverty, plant crops in peace and stability, eat rough tea and light rice, and be a hereditary people." This is Zhang Yuzhen's attitude to life, she is a person who is easy to meet the life of a peasant family, and works wholeheartedly for the people for Yang Shanzhou, rarely goes home or even does not go home, gives less money or even no money, does not complain, does not get angry. She overcame many difficulties and stood shoulder to shoulder with her mother-in-law in this poor and backward home. No matter how poor life is, do everything possible to make your family live a moist and comfortable life. Zhang Yuzhen's comments on Yang Shanzhou's life: "Honest. Cheng Rongfang: Zhang Yuzhen was born in March 1928, the name of the little evil leader, the second eldest in the line, the father Zhang Youyou, the mother Yang Xiute'er, a native of Sanyaowan in Guandong Township, also under the jurisdiction of the Wayao Village Committee of Yaoguan Town. When she was 10 years old, she moved with her parents to the old city of Songpo Village to earn a living. Songpo Village is located on the east side of Daliang Mountain, affected by the subtropical climate of the Dianmengboro River Valley in Xiawan, with a mild climate, sufficient light and abundant water sources, suitable for plant growth, and the family relies on planting corn and vegetables to spend spring and autumn. Zhang Yuzhen's father is industrious and kind, open-minded and cheerful, likes to make friends, is hospitable, has a small reputation in the surrounding area, and has a fairly smooth life. Zhang Yuzhen was born in a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, and at that time, the fashion was three inches of golden lotus, and she could not escape the fate of wrapping her small feet. Bound by the feudal idea of preferring sons to daughters, she did not even have the opportunity to go to private schools, and her tasks were to herd cattle, herd pigs, cook rice, grow vegetables, do needlework in her spare time, and spend most of her beautiful youth on The Hills of Songpa. In January 1950, the red regime of the Yaoguan People's Government was born, the county task force entered the village, took root in tandem, Zhang Yuzhen took off the "shackles" under her feet, participated in the peasant association to learn politics, twisted and sang new songs, and began her own new life. To be precise, Zhang Yuzhen's family conditions before marriage were much better than Yang Shanzhou's family.
Interview Group: As a peer, what do you think about the affair between Comrade Yang Shanzhou and Zhang Yuzhen? What do you think of Zhang Yuzhen's life after marriage?
Cheng Rongfang: Because Yang Shanzhou is humble and studious, he has become a famous "two stonemason" in the area of Daliushui. Songpo Zhai's aunt always thought of Yang Shanzhou, dug up the ground to plant vegetables to find him, lettuce and green vegetables can be listed, asked him to pick and sell on the street, and the money from the vegetables sold was given to him to supplement his family. Yang Shanzhou and Zhang Yuzhen are cousins, and the opportunity to go to her aunt's house is frequent, one or two, Zhang Yuzhen grazes, Yang Shanzhou works, two small guesses, green plum bamboo horses. The mother and aunt and the old sisters tacitly agreed, and the old man put it in his heart. In the winter of 1950, sent by his brother Zhang Yuxian, all the way to the sound of screaming, Zhang Yuzhen sat on a slippery pole, and several big men carried the bride Zhang Yuzhen to Yang Shanzhou's house with their shoulders. Since then, Zhang Yuzhen has started a new life under several thatched houses.
During the land reform in 1952, her family was divided into 2 acres of land, 9 acres of land and several acres of mountain forests. Zhang Yuzhen had three daughters under her knees, in 1951, the eldest daughter was born and named Huiju; in 1964, thirteen years later, the second daughter was born and named Huilan; in 1970, the third daughter was born and named Huiqin. Zhang Yuzhen became the mother of three daughters, and the burden became heavier and heavier. During the period of rural collectivization, Zhang Yuzhen's task was to release 30 head of cattle, 8 centimeters per day, each centimeter was converted into more than 2 cents according to dividends, and the income was two dimes a day. The people's commune set up a canteen, Zhang Yuzhen changed her career to become a cook, and later the canteen was dissolved, and she returned to her old business as a herder. In the extremely difficult years, the eldest daughter Yang Huiju went to school to study, at night she had no money to buy fire oil, she went up the mountain to cut firewood for lighting, and later, learning abacus, she went up the mountain to pick chickens and fruits to sell in Yaoguan Street, and bought an abacus for 5 yuan. The mountain behind the grass house was washed away by the water, and it was up to his brother-in-law Xi Tianying to help clear the earth... Yang Shanzhou was on official business and had a heavy responsibility on his shoulders, and the time to return to Yao Guan Da Liu Shui was Liao Ruoxingchen. Zhang Yuzhen suffered a lot and suffered a lot. It is such an ordinary woman who supports this poor home with her wise hands without complaint or regret.
