Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Tower is located in the center of Zhengzhou City, Erqi Square, in 1951 Zhengzhou City to commemorate the martyrs sacrificed in the 1923 Beijing-Hankou Railway strike, inherit and carry forward the spirit of revolutionary struggle of the Beijing-Hankou Railway workers, the original Zhengzhou City West Gate Changchun Bridge site expanded into "Erqi Square."

On July 1, 1971, the reconstruction of the reinforced concrete memorial tower began on the original site, and it was inaugurated on September 29 of the same year, and the "Zhengzhou Erqi Strike Memorial Tower Management Office" was established. In May 1990, it was renamed "Zhengzhou Erqi Revolution Memorial Hall", and on April 9, 1993, the name of the museum was inscribed "Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Hall".

After the May Fourth Movement, Chinese's consciousness began to awaken, deeply understanding that only by relying on themselves can change their destiny, and the Communist Party of China from the day of its birth, attaches great importance to the importance of workers in the revolution, so it unites and educates workers to carry out revolutionary struggle, and the Beijing-Hankou and Longhai Railways naturally become important activity places of the Communist Party, and Zhengzhou in 1922 has become one of the centers of the national workers' movement.

Chen Fuhai, director of the Beijing-Hankou Railway Locomotive Factory, arbitrarily deprived the workers of their freedom and treated them badly, so the workers listed Chen Fuhai's 16 crimes and demanded five conditions, such as improving the status of workers and raising wages. After unremitting efforts, on February 1, 2023, the Beijing-Hankou Railway Federation of Trade Unions was established in Zhengzhou, and at this time, Wu Peifu's ugly face finally leaked out, ordering the whole city of Zhengzhou to impose martial law and forcibly suppress it, on February 7, Wu Peifu mobilized 20,000 military police to suppress the striking workers, resulting in many workers killed and injured, which is the Erqi Massacre.

The "Beijing-Hankou Railway Strike" marked the first workers' movement in the country led by the Communist Party of China. Although it failed, it wrote a glorious page in the history of the Chinese workers' movement and the Chinese revolution.

Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Hall in Erqi Square, a visible tower body, as if telling the city's hard-won, in the tower there are 10 exhibition rooms and 1 underground exhibition hall, the display area of more than 1,000 square meters, the collection of modern and modern cultural relics more than 500 pieces. The main exhibition in the museum introduces the historical causes, processes and results of the Beijing-Hankou railway strike.

Under the Erqi Memorial Tower, look up at the tower 63 meters high, feel the 14-story tragic story, reinforced concrete structure. The tower style is novel, unique, majestic and spectacular, with the characteristics of Chinese national architecture, the top corner of each floor is an antique corner cornice, and the green glazed tile roof is covered. There is a bell tower built at the top of the tower, a large clock with a diameter of 2.7 meters on six sides, and the music of "Dongfang Hong" is played on the hour, and the bell is melodious and pleasant, stretching for several kilometers. On the bell tower stands a red five-star. It is a young ancient cultural site.
