The movie "The Island Keeper" is about to be released
On the occasion of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the film "Shoudao People", based on the 32-year touching deeds of Comrade Wang Jicai, a "model of the people", will be released nationwide on June 18. In the final poster, Wang Jicai stands at the head of the tide of the wind and the huge waves, the lonely island, the resolute figure, and the image of the island keeper is moving.
Before his death, Wang Jicai was the director of the militia post on Kaishan Island in Guanyun County, Jiangsu Province, and his wife Wang Shihua took the island as their home, accompanied by loneliness, and dedicated their beautiful youth to the cause of coastal defense of the motherland. Kaishan Island is located in the outpost of China's Yellow Sea, with an area of only 0.013 square kilometers, equivalent to the size of two football fields, and the conditions on the island are difficult. The film selects the classic fragments and flashing moments of Wang Jicai and his wife's shoudao career, and shows the dramatic conflict, conveys the emotional spirit, and portrays the character in the contradictions and entanglements of keeping and walking, gaining and losing, and suffering and happiness. From the protagonist's hesitation in the early stage of landing on the island, to the plot stories such as bravely saving the young people who fell into the water, cracking down on smuggling merchants, delivering babies in the storm, sending off comrades-in-arms, and the Spring Festival Gala of the family on the island, a group of textured shots carefully expressed the love of husband and wife, father and son, and comradeship, showing the rich inner world of Wang Jicai and his wife from different aspects and the home and country feelings of "guarding the island is defending the country". The film not only restores the experience of Wang Jicai and his wife in their 32 years of tenacious struggle against the harsh natural environment, but also runs the protagonist's patriotic and dedicated value pursuit throughout the film, which is deeply contemplated and spiritually nourished for inspiring all walks of life to adhere to the ordinary and create extraordinary.
The film "Shoudao Man" is jointly produced by Bayi Film Studio and Jiangsu Happiness Blue Ocean Film Co., Ltd., Hebei Radio and Television Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd., Fujian Film Studio, Huaxia Film Distribution Co., Ltd., directed by Chen Li, the first-class director of Bayi Film Studio, and concurrently served as the chief screenwriter, Zhang Heping as the artistic director, Gao Mantang as the script planner, Ding Han and Zhao Zheen as the screenwriter, Liang Ming as the director of photography, Huo Tingxiao as the art director, Ju Wenpei composed, Liu Ye and Gong Zhe starring, Hou Yong, Sun Weimin, Song Chunli, Zhang Yishan, Chen Chuang, Tao Huimin, Ma Shaohua, Chi Peng, Xu Zhen and other co-starred. The film's creative team filmed the story of Shoudao with the spirit of Shoudao Island, and repeatedly went deep into Kaishan Island to interview and collect wind, experience life, and understand the life feelings and mental processes of Shoudao people in detail. The film spans up to 32 years, and the crew restores the reality of life to the greatest extent possible in scene props, character modeling, actor performances, and camera screens. Post-production makes full use of special effects and other technical means to truly reproduce the life of shoudao in harsh environments such as typhoons, heavy rains, and huge waves, and carefully creates and uses film music and theme songs to give people a strong impact appeal.
