The golden plover will soon find that its mate has become ugly, and then they will "go their separate ways".

In the summer, the golden plover is a typical example of the bird's elegance and sleekness. When standing, their backs are sand-brown, which is conducive to blending with the surrounding environment; the neck has a black and white double-layered collar; the eyes and forehead have black and white two-tone stripes, the chest and abdomen are white, and they look like gentlemen wearing white shirts, brown suits, masks, and black bow ties; the most important thing is that they are equipped with a pair of tall "gold wire-rimmed glasses" - a circle of golden eye sockets, and the aura is fully opened at once. The name golden plover also comes from this.

The elite temperament birds described above are all in the state of the breeding period of the golden orbital plover. In the autumn, they enter the non-breeding period, the "mask" is no longer worn, the "bow tie" is not beaten, the feathers are gray and do not slip in autumn, and the Sven temperament disappears and becomes quite rustic.

Although the temperament is somewhat fluctuating, the golden plover is still relatively stable in its flexible hands and clever brain.

In the wild, the golden plover mainly lives around the water or on sandbars in the water, especially likes to stop and go on the sand. In the face of distractions or fright, it will run away quickly, and the gesture of small steps is laughable, but the speed is dazzling. When there is no trouble, he gently taps the sand with his slender calves as he walks, constantly disturbing the small animals that are dormant under the sand and gravel in order to forage for food.

If you find a golden plover on a beach somewhere in Hunan in the summer, be careful under your feet. Because they never build a nest substantially, they randomly plan a shallow pit between sand and gravel when breeding, and lay eggs directly in the pit, and bird eggs and sand and gravel are fused into one. A bird that is not careful may destroy a golden-eyed bird.

There are obvious white and black collars, the white spots behind the eyes extend backwards to the top of the head, and the golden yellow orbits are obvious. Single or in pairs, often running for a distance and then staying slightly, foraging as they walk, with a monotonous and delicate call.

It often inhabits lakes, river beaches or rice paddies. It mainly eats insects, insect larvae, worms, spiders and small aquatic invertebrates such as crustaceans and molluscs. The breeding season is from May to July, with an annual production of 1 litter, and the chicks become early and can fly with the parent bird less than 1 month after the shell.
