The middle black blind bugs mainly suck the cotton seedlings and leaves with nymphs, causing the top buds of the cotton seedlings to burn and turn black, and the main trunk cannot grow out. The young buds are victimized, turn from yellow to black, and fall off after 2-3 days. Young bells are affected, and the less damaged plants have water-soaked spots, and the more severely damaged plants are rigid and fall off.
Control measures: 1. Completely remove weeds in and around the field before cotton planting to reduce black blind bug eggs in the field. 2. During the growth period of cotton, the black blind bugs are more harmful, and the use of targeted insecticides for spray control can be mixed with the new high-fat film to shield the sense of smell of pests, inhibit the replication of germs, reduce their resistance and dosage, and improve the effect of pesticides. 3. After cotton harvesting, completely remove field disease residues, weeds, etc., concentrate on destruction, and carry out deep ploughing, which can effectively reduce the eggs of overwintering insects in the field and reduce the base number of medium and black blind bugs.
