Amazon Forest
The Amazon Forest is the largest rainforest in the world, spread over most of Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru and Suriname, covering an area of about 5.5 million square kilometers, making it the most biodiverse and largest rainforest in the world. More than a million species live in this dense rainforest, accounting for one-tenth of the world's known species, including plants, insects, birds and other life forms, many of which have not yet been scientifically documented. The forest's biggest tourist attraction is its glaciers, one of the few of Alaska's 100,000 glaciers to display huge ice sheets. Xishuangbanna
China's Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve covers an area of about 2,425 square kilometers (more than 80% of which is covered by forests) and has a rare tropical forest ecosystem, including a large number of primary forests. Recognized by UNESCO as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1993, the site is home to more than 50 species of rare plants, as well as asian elephants, Indochina tigers, gibbons and other endangered animals.

Sequoia Forest
Sequoia Forest is one of California's nineteen national forests. It takes its name from General Sherman, the world's largest (by volume) large redwood, and grows in more than 30 woods on the forest's low-elevation slopes. According to legend, it has a history of more than 2,000 years, weighs about 113 kilograms and is 84 meters high. There are also towering granite boulders in the forest, canyons carved by glaciers, roaring white water... Altitudes range from 305 meters below sea level at the foot of the mountain to peaks over 3,657 meters above craggy heights, providing visitors with some of the most spectacular mountain views in the entire West.

Sequoia National Forest also offers visitors a wide range of outdoor recreational activities: trails for hiking, backpacking, horseback riding and mountain biking; many developed campgrounds or scattered areas offer a full-service camping experience where visitors can camp in the forest but often encounter black bear visits; and numerous rivers, lakes and reservoirs support activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, rafting and kayaking. In winter, skiing is also available at high altitudes.
Monteverde Cloud Forest
The Monteverde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica consists of about 105 square kilometers of cloud forest, of which 90% is primary forest. Sometimes referred to as water forests, cloud forests are mountainous, moist forests in tropical or subtropical regions with persistent, low-level clouds, often in the form of fog. So there, you can reach out and touch the clouds, as if you were in a fairyland.

In the Monteverde cloud forest, there are more than 2500 species of plants, 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, 1200 species of reptiles and amphibians, and thousands of species of insects. It is one of the only remaining habitats in the world to support all six species of cats (jaguar, leopard, cougar, golden snub-nosed monkey, Magais and jaguar), as well as the endangered trident bell bird and the golden quetzal.

From the East African plateau to the west, along the equator through the Great Rift Valley, the Congo Basin comes into view. As a result of the rise of the Earth and the leakage of lake water, the oldest primary forest on the African continent grows on the basin. The rushing Congo River runs through the basin, and abundant rain and perennial heat make it the second largest forest in South America after the Amazon rainforest in South America.
Congo Basin forests are home to thousands of unique species of flora and fauna, with a wide variety of wildlife species – including elephants, chimpanzees, gorillas, rhinos and countless other species – loved around the world. There are also more than 2,000 species of orchids that are endemic to the basin.
Sundarbans Mangrove Forest
Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world, covering an area of about 98,420 square kilometers across the northern border of Bangladesh and India. The forest is named after the Sondari tree, the largest number in the region. The forest itself makes up only about 40 percent of the Sundarbans region, with about 50 percent being water and the rest being sand dunes and mudflats.

In the late 1980s, Sundarbans National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and in 1997 three wildlife sanctuaries established in the Bangladeshi part of Sundelbans were honored. The entire area is considered a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

This area is home to the famous Bengal tiger and one of the last protected areas in Bangladesh. But mangroves also have many other well-known animal inhabitants, such as wild boars, Ganges dolphins, cobras, Indian pythons and crocodiles. It is also home to more than 250 species of birds.
Sumatra Rainforest
Sumatra's largest rainforest consists of three national parks: Gunon Leser National Park, Clinch Seblatt National Park and Buji Bari Sanserrattan National Park, which are home to nearly 25,900 square kilometers of forest protected by UNESCO.

Miombolling covers Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and other countries. The area is predominantly home to Miombo trees, but there are more than 300 other tree species and more than 8,500 different types of plants. Much of this plant is used to feed a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, rhinos, elephants and antelopes.
Cross-basin forests
Nigeria's cross-basin forests cover 20,720 square kilometres of tropical forest and savanna woodland, or at least as it used to be. Now, it is one of the most densely populated areas in Africa, where much of the forest has been cut down, leaving only grassland. The main trees in the area are Afzelia (native to Africa and commonly used for timber cultivation) and palm trees.

Parts of the forest are protected, and there are some special animals that live there, such as lizard monkeys (aka lizard monkeys) and crowned chameleons. The Niger River has traditionally been home to more than 900 species of birds, and cheetahs, warthogs, hippos, leopards, lions, baboons, elephants and more are also home to cheetahs, warthogs, hippos, leopards, lions, elephants and more.
Chugachi Forest

Chugachi Forest is located in the U.S. state of Alaska. It has an area of 27,957 square kilometers. It was established in July 1907 and includes vast glaciers, forests and rivers, most of which are not covered by roads. The forest is home to a large number of birds, mammals and marine species. In the northern part of the island of Borneo, Kinabalu National Park covers an area of about 777 square kilometers. Despite its small footprint, its mix of biodiversity and habitat makes it an important forest.
Known for its eponymous peak, Kinabalu National Park has an extremely diverse and unique collection of flora and fauna, including more than 1,000 species of orchids. Kinabalu's habitat ranges from tropical lowlands and montane rainforests to subalpine forests with incredible combinations of flora from the Himalayas, Australia and China, and is at the heart of Southeast Asia's plant diversity.

The Daintree Rainforest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Queensland, Australia, and is home to forest wildlife. Covering an area of about 1,165 square kilometres, the Daintree Rainforest is Australia's oldest forest and is said to have existed for over 100 million years. Theoretically, the Amazon rainforest may have a more diverse plant species, but in fact the Daintree rainforest has the largest number of rare flora.
Vannes Rainforest
The Gondwana Rainforest in Australia is the most widely distributed subtropical rainforest in the world, consisting of 50 independent protected areas with a total area of more than 3665 square kilometers. Gondwana is a supercontinent that began to split during the Jurassic period, and the name also represents the fact that the supercontinent is covered by similar rainforests. About 2 million people visit the rainforest every year. In 1986, the Rainforest Reserve became a World Heritage Site.

Although New Guinea is only one-tenth the size of Australia, it is still home to many species of rainforest flora and fauna, including the world's smallest parrot and the largest pigeon. Due to differences in altitude, climate change in New Guinea is widespread, with montane forests being the most diverse. As a result, the montane forests of New Guinea are home to many rare animals, such as Scott's tree kangaroo and the one-eyed dragon long-beaked echidna.

The Bialoviza Virgin Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spans Belarus and Poland and has about 3,085 square kilometers of land, with official sites accounting for about half of the region. It has earned UNESCO the honor because it is the only surviving example of an ancient forest that once spread across Europe and is an important wildlife corridor.
When it comes to animals, this beautiful forest is home to three different species of wolves, bison, wild boar and a variety of rare birds. There are also many plants, including oaks, ash trees, spruces, etc., which have been in the forest for more than 600 years.
Swedish forest

Sweden is 69% forested and covers an area of more than 300,000 square kilometers. Sweden's land reforestation is the second largest in the world, second only to Russia. European beech, Norwegian spruce and Scottish pine are the most common trees there, with the latter two accounting for 75% of southern Sweden's trees. Forests are still extremely important to Sweden today and are one of the main sources of the Swedish economy, with about half of Sweden's forests privately owned by households and the rest divided among private companies and public or governmental organizations.
