1. It became famous in the 1930s and 1940s

In the 1930s and 1940s, he performed at The Yanle Tea Garden in Nanshi (renamed hongqi theater after liberation), and performed with Liu Wenxia, Chang Xujiu, Yu Ruifeng, Cheng Yulan, Zheng Dieying, Cao Baolu, Lu Deming, Tao Xiangru, Hua Sibao, Bai Yunpeng, Dai Shaofu, Yu Junbo, Hou Baolin, Guo Qiru, etc.

In the 1940s, he performed at the Shangping'an Tea Garden (now known as the Great Wall Film Theatre). Ma Sanli said that Liu Wenbin is our principal. Learn Liu Wenbin singing "Spring rain shocks the spring valley day, summer is full of mango and summer is connected, autumn dew and autumn frost falls, winter snow snow winter small big cold.".

Chang Baokun learned from Liu Wenbin and sang "Liu Gong's Case" with his own lyrics: "Lord Liu walks and stands up and walks." He also sang: "Lord Liu carried the restaurant into the mattress cover, and the lamp was lit in the mattress cover." ”

Li Runjie sang the opera "Carpenter Greeting Relatives", singing with Liu Wenbin's Jingdong big drum, singing very well. Ma Sanli, Chang Baokun, Li Runjie, and others learned from Liu Wenbin. At this time, it is the day when Jingdong raises its eyebrows and breathes.

In 1938, he was invited by the Guole Records Company to produce 12 records, including 2 "Guo Ziyi Qingshou", 1 "Demolition of the West Chamber", 2 "Sui Dynasty Emperor Xia Yangzhou", 1 "Zhuangzi Fan Tomb", 2 "Wang Erjie Sifu", and 4 "Liu Gong Case". Second, the reasons for going from peasants to drum music masters

1. Cooperate with the string master tacitly

Liu Wenbin's singing can be welcomed by listeners from all walks of life, which is inseparable from the tacit understanding of his string master. String master Mr. Li Jingshan, also his compatriot, self-taught, when he was a child, because he was short enough to reach the handle of the string, he hung the string on the window edge to practice. He has a unique ability to accompany Liu Wenbin, and often has an audience to applaud the accompaniment during performances. His three strings play fast, steady, accurate, lively, and can support the tone, especially Mr. Li's original crisp strings playing "learning tongue" unique skills, before the book performance, he often used three strings to imitate the performance, ensemble and animal poultry chirping of ethnic instruments such as sheng, pipe, flute, and harp, which was very popular with the audience.

2. Rich life experience

Liu Wenbin's Jingdong big drum is getting better and better, the main reason is that before coming to Tianjin, there was a long period of training in the countryside. When he was young, he loved to listen to big drum books, and under the influence of Zhang Lame and Huo Liang, he had learned some small sections and long drum books, humming while doing farm work, and also buying some songbooks to adapt and sing.

Compared to other entertainers, he can read and write, but his level of education is not high. Once, when singing "Demolition of the West Chamber", there was a sentence in it: "Our old master embezzled bribes and yielded everyone's good literary talents." Mistakenly sang "tu bribe" as "tu has", let the educated people drink the lottery, and the result was a joke. This failure became his motivation, on the one hand, he continued to learn culture, on the other hand, in the agricultural leisure or drought years, to do some small business outside the mouth, broaden his horizons and exercise. At that time, outside the North Exit was outside the Great Wall of Gubeikou and Xifengkou, and at that time people often said that "go to the Rehe Bagou Lama Temple to pull a camel".

Sometimes riding a donkey, sometimes picking, carrying small daily commodities such as needles, money, thimbles, fire sickles, vesta god horses, New Year paintings, leather whips and other things to earn some small money. Sometimes, farmers in the mountains would support big drums and sing with rappers, and earn some grain to exchange for some copper coins on the market. In this way, he has both exercised and experienced, and he can also earn some money to support his family. The artist singing is very difficult, he sometimes sings for five or six hours in a row, his voice is dumb, there is no panacea, he is anxious, he uses home remedies to boil water and drink it is half a bowl. Therefore, his voice later became hoarse, and he insisted on practicing hard, and finally practiced a "jar flavor" that used the resonance of the head cavity and the back of the brain, which was unique and difficult for ordinary people to imitate.

Third, the finished product is equal to the body

Before Liu Wenbin came to Tianjin, the original artists who spoke and commented on books and sang big drums each occupied one side. Commentator Zhang Jiexin choreographed and performed "Three Heroes and Swords", wooden drum artist "Sacrifice Yang" rap "Hu Jia Jiang" and Xihe big drum artist Zhu Daguan all performed in Tianjin. Liu Wenbin performed on the radio and in the bookstore, and he felt more and more that the repertoire was not enough. He had a brother who told him: "Tianjin is full of wealth, you just don't have the tools to get rich, the tools are the new books." Therefore, Liu Wenbin adapted and created on his own, singing the new book while reading the book, tired that he was dizzy and dizzy, his eyes were red, and the new track after rehearsal also asked celebrity guidance. Therefore, his repertoire is very wide, and the bibliography is more and more segments.

Later, he performed in the bookstore for a month, and he was able to sing two pieces a day and never repeat it. At that time, he often performed repertoire such as "Cross Slope", "Double Lock Mountain", "Liu Jinding Stargazing", "Zhu Maichen Divorced Wife", "Zhuge Liang Recruiting Relatives", "Zhuge Liang Bet", "Borrowing a Woman to Hang Filial Piety", "Iron Crown Figure", "Han Xiangzi Shangshou", "Guo Ziyi Qingshou", "Zhaojun Out of the Plug", "Hong Yue'e Dreaming", "Exploring the Kiln to Send Rice", "Marrying Lianke Upside Down", "Da Xi Xiang", "Wang Erjie Sifu", "Luo Cheng's Gua Gua", "Fishing Tree Cultivation Reading", "Su Liu Usurpation", "Sui Emperor Xia Yangzhou" and other hundreds of paragraphs. Medium and long drum books include "Liu Gong Case", "Hu Jia Jiang", "Xiao Bayi", "XiangMa Zhuan", "Ten Grains of Jin Dan", "Xue Jia Jiang", "Hui Mark", "Jade Cup Record", etc., which have been sung on the radio. Although he left many recordings of singing on the radio station, most of them were damaged during the Cultural Revolution, and now Tianjin Radio only retains a passage of his "Wang Erjie's Cooking" and some records passed down to the world.

Fourth, rejuvenate after liberation

After the liberation of Tianjin in 1949, the poor artists turned around and were cared for by the party and the people's government, Liu Wenbin joined the Hexi District Book and Music Team, and was also elected as the representative of the district people. He is refreshed, old and strong, and he is still composing new songs in the near future. He has sung modern songs such as "Little Two Black Marriage" and "Liu Qiao'er" on the radio. In 1958, he also sang a new short section of "Send Noodle Soup". In the early 1960s, the leaders of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture repeatedly recommended him to live broadcast on television stations, believing that he was old and should leave more opportunities for the young generation to appear. In 1960, he went to the Hexi District Opera and Quyi Training School at No. 20 Minhou Road, Xiawafang, where he taught as an apprentice, with students including Liu Zhendong, Wang Guiru, and Li Erjing. Teacher Liu Wenbin died of illness in 1967, and the sound and smile of his old man still appear in our minds. The flower of his Jingdong big drum art will never fade, and we should excavate and preserve his artistic achievements.

5. Disciple-to-disciple transmission

Liu Wenbin did not receive many professional disciples in his early years, only in the Japanese and pseudo-japanese periods to personally pass on one apprentice, he passed on the word "book" according to this portal, took the stage name Lu Shu, and developed quite after the expiration of the three-year study period. Unfortunately, he died young, and Liu Wenbin was sad because of the death of his disciple. In addition, he also took his nephew Zhang Shuyang as an apprentice. Disciple Lee Seung-so studied art with the teacher for the longest time, and no matter where he performed, Lee Seung-so went to the theater to listen.

Liu Wenbin's philosopher Liu Shaobin, who learned to play strings at an early age, specially accompanied by the Jingdong drum, played very distinctively and was quite a legacy of his father. A few years ago, in order to introduce Teacher Liu's artistic life on the radio, he also asked other teachers and brothers to help recall and organize the manuscript to play, but unfortunately he has passed away today. Liu Wenbin's apprentices in society and in industrial and mining enterprises are all peach and plum all over the world, although these disciples have their own singing methods. His amateur disciples also included Dong Xiangkun, Wang Jixin, Liu Hanwu, Yue Jinyi, Song Wanfeng, Zhang Liang, and Sun Zhihua. The most accomplished person is Dong Xiangkun, who has been awarded the title of "Worker Qu Artist" by the state and has developed the art of Jingdong Big Drum.
