From October 21st to 27th, the National "13th Five-Year Plan" Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievement Exhibition was launched at the Beijing Exhibition Center. The results of the team of Professor Xu Zhuo-Li Fei of the Faculty of Telecommunications of Xi'an Jiaotong University "Transparent Ferroelectric Single Crystal with Ultra-high Voltage Electrical Performance", and the special visual information processing chip independently developed by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics were exhibited and highly recognized by all walks of life.
With the theme of "Innovation-driven Development, Towards a Scientific and Technological Power", the achievement exhibition is divided into 12 exhibition areas such as a century-old review, basic research, high-tech, and major special projects, with a total of 1740 exhibition items, focusing on the major achievements made by China's in-depth implementation of innovation-driven development strategies and the construction of an innovative country since the "13th Five-Year Plan".

Professor Xu Zhuo-Li Fei's team brought representative products such as large-size single crystals, series piezoelectric single wafers, piezoelectric texture ceramics, piezoelectric composite materials, transparent ferroelectric monocrystallines, piezoelectric hydrophones, etc., and the booth was located at Booth 1 of the Basic Research Exhibition Area. During the exhibition, it attracted leaders of national ministries and commissions, experts from well-known universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University, and representatives of leading domestic product enterprises to come to the exhibition, and reached a cooperation intention with downstream users to jointly develop products and materials.
Professor Xu Zhuo-Li Fei team developed a transparent ferroelectric single crystal with ultra-high voltage electrical properties, while realizing the high voltage electrical and high light transmittance of the material, breaking through the international problem that the two are difficult to coexist for a long time, this material can greatly improve the imaging resolution of the photoacoustic imaging system in disease diagnosis, and provide a new key material for the development of high-performance electro-optical modulators, optical phased arrays and quantum optics.
The special visual information processing chip independently developed by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of the university participated in the achievement exhibition, showing the public some of the phased achievements of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in the field of independent scientific and technological innovation, of which the relevant achievements won the first prize of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. During the exhibition, the scientific and technological innovation achievements have received the attention and affirmation of national leaders.
According to reports, since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", the university's Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Research Institute has closely focused on the major strategic needs of the country, strengthened patriotic education, continuously improved the scientific and technological innovation mechanism, achieved rapid improvement in scientific and technological innovation capabilities, and achieved a series of original major scientific and technological innovation achievements.
