Get the highest growth rate of rotifers
Microalgae promote healthy, exuberant rotifers ready in a high-density concentration phase. The product contains freeze-dried microalgae that ensure stable rotifer production (high yield), have high nutritional value (fatty acids, proteins, sterols, etc.) and inhibit Vibrio in rotifers. This product is an ideal product for the batch, semi-continuous and continuous production of rotifers.
Rotifers bred in microalgae powder exhibit high EPA and high vitamin levels. These nutrients are not lost when harvested and fed to fish larvae. Using this culture rotifer diet will save costs and space, eliminate algae production in hatcheries, and be very easy to use.
In cases where feeding accounts for up to 20%, supplementation with algae powder can additionally promote their growth. Note: It is not recommended to use algae powder as the only diet for rotifer culture.
Rotifers cultured with microalgae powder have the following advantages:
High nutritional value (polyunsaturated fatty acids (EPA/DHA), minerals, vitamins, phytosterols) required for the cultivation of economic animal larvae in water plants
Low bacterial load
High daily spawning rate
The main advantages of algae powder products:
Ready-to-use, easy-to-use algae
Cultivate a high degree of stability in performance
Ensure consistent, high-quality nutritional quality
Improve the production capacity of aquatic economic animals
Rotifer feeding strategies:
Depending on the number of rotifers, you can choose a strategy that meets the needs of the rotifer culture system.
Rotifers should be clean, well-nourished and have a 20% spawning rate.
In this feeding modality, the number of rotifers is indicative to (L-type) folded arm-tail rotifers. Depending on your culture conditions, results may vary. The medium should be turbid and very clear water may be a sign of insufficient feed. A small amount of additional doses of 0,02-0,05 g/l algae powder can be added on the first day.
