Did the Nazi dictator Hitler die? Dental identification reveals the truth

author:China News Network

According to foreign media reports, the identification of Hitler's remaining teeth concluded that the dictator was determined to have died in 1945. The legend surrounding Hitler's teeth is not only part of the death story of the Nazi culprit, but also reveals the propaganda war during the Cold War and its brutal inside story.

Reports said Hitler's dental health was very bad. This detail may sound like gossip about the Nazi dictatorship, but it is actually one of the historical pieces of evidence of Hitler's suicide on April 30, 1945.

Did the Nazi dictator Hitler die? Dental identification reveals the truth

Infographic: A kneeling statue of Hitler displayed by Italian artist Cattelan sold for $17.2 million (about 112 million yuan) at Christie's in New York, setting a world record for the artist's work at auction. The statue, completed by Moregio Cattelan in 2001, is made of wax and resin, with real hair and beard in the form of real hair, and the title of the work is very simple, it is called "him".

A team of pathologists from France was recently allowed to test Hitler's remaining teeth preserved in Moscow. The teeth were discovered in Berlin in early May 1945, and for more than 70 years, soviet and Russian authorities never allowed anyone to test hitler's remains. The researchers came up with unmistakable results and published them in the European Journal of Internal Medicine, published last week.

"These teeth are real, there's no doubt about it," Philippe Charlier, the pathologist who led the study, told AFP. "Our research confirms that Hitler did die in 1945."

The research team was also allowed to examine Hitler's skull remnants this time to confirm his suicide. The teeth tested were consistent with Hitler's dentist's description and showed no traces of chewing meat. This proves that the Nazi Fuehrer was indeed a vegetarian.

The study's new findings should quell the legend that Hitler escaped by deception at the end of World War II. But perhaps there are still people who firmly believe in this statement.

"We can clear up any conspiracy theories about Hitler," Charlemagne said. "He didn't go to Argentina on a submarine; he didn't hide in a secret base at the South Pole or the far side of the moon."

In fact, the true ending of Hitler's story is as believed by all eminent historians: in the ruins of Berlin, the capital of Nazi Germany, Hitler committed suicide in the Führer's bunker with his wife Eva, who had been married for many years and had been married for less than two days.

Confirmation of Hitler's remains

By April 30, 1945, Soviet troops were approaching the Führer's bunker in central Berlin less than 500 meters away. Surrounded and barely in touch with the remnants, Hitler realized that his dream of a thousand-year reich had been shattered.

In the afternoon, Hitler and Eva retreated to their private residence in the bunker, took the highly toxic cyanide and subsequently shot themselves. At about 15:15 p.m., their remains, as well as the bodies of two of Hitler's dogs, who were alleged animal lovers, were found.

Perhaps thinking of the way the Italian people treated Mussolini's body, Hitler gave clear instructions on what to do with his and Eva's body: remove from the bunker and burn it.

It was not until 5 May that Soviet troops found charred bodies in a crater and identified them as Hitler himself.

"Hitler's teeth were terrible, and they were characteristically bad. So the body can be identified by his teeth alone," Mark Benecke, a forensic pathologist commissioned by National Geographic Television channel to study Hitler's wreckage, said in an article published online. He believed that Hitler's well-known problem of bad breath may have come from caries and gum disease.

Soviet authorities compared the teeth with special denture devices on Hitler's remains to the description of his dentist assistant, Kathe Heusermann. Later, Hitler's personal dentist, Hugo Blaschke, confirmed to the Allies that the body belonged to Hitler himself.

"His teeth were so bad that his dentist had to stay in the bunker with him," Liubov Summ, granddaughter of Elena Rzhevskaya, who works as a Russian translator for Hoiseman, told The Time of Israel. "Some of the photos are simply unbearable."
