Chen Yaqiong, an old female volleyball player of the national team, went to his hometown of Yongchun as a "coach"

In order to commemorate Chen Yaqiong's contribution to Chinese volleyball and better inherit the "spirit of women's volleyball", Yongchun County has transformed Chen Yaqiong's former residence into the "Women's Volleyball Spirit Chen Yaqiong Story Museum".

On the same day, the old women's volleyball players came to Yongchun County No. 6 Middle School, shared their sports experience with the students, told the inheritance story of the "women's volleyball spirit", and let the children better understand the Chinese women's volleyball team and the "women's volleyball spirit" they represented.

It turned out that the old team member Chen Yaqiong's hometown was in Yueshan Town, Yongchun County, and she had studied at Yongchun Sixth Middle School. In 1972, Chen Yaqiong entered the provincial women's volleyball team, and in 1979, she was discovered by Yuan Weimin, then the coach of the women's volleyball team of the national team, and was selected for the national team. During her service with the national team, the national women's volleyball team won the 2nd Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, the 3rd World Cup Women's Volleyball Championship, the 9th World Women's Volleyball Championship and the 9th Asian Games Women's Volleyball Championship.

On the morning of the same day, after the brief ceremony of Yongchun No. 6 Middle School, the inspirational propaganda team from Beijing Sport University carried out a "women's volleyball spirit" propaganda, telling the students about the origin, development and connotation of the women's volleyball team spirit of "patriotic dedication, hard work and self-improvement, unity and cooperation, truth-seeking and innovation".

"The sports program itself is inspiring, a kind of reminiscence for the younger generation, but also a kind of education, this morning's activity, I think for the students, is also a good patriotic education, we parties are very touched to hear it, I think the children will also be touched." Chen Yaqiong said.

"Hands clasped together, arms together, waist straight... Grab the ball to be proactive, don't let go. After the lecture, Cao Huiying, Sun Jinfang, Chen Yaqiong and other old women's volleyball players acted as temporary coaches and provided volleyball technical guidance to the children. Subsequently, the old women's volleyball team members divided into two teams and led the student team members to the game.
