Anhui Museum, a national first-class museum, is now the operation mode of one hospital and two museums. While creating a place for the collection, protection and display of cultural relics, the museum is also constantly seeking in the development characteristics of modern museums with diversified functions and humanized services. The archaeological experience area designed by DON DiDong is located on the west side of the new museum and covers an area of 2 hectares. The design traces back to the "home" culture 3600 years ago, three-dimensional display of the traces of the Xia Dynasty between Jianghuai and Huaibei, and will be used as a combination of cultural landscape and display functions in the future to further build a closed loop of complete cultural experience of the Anhui Museum.
With the design concept of "Searching for the JianghuaiJian and Tracing the Origin of China", the project takes advantage of the Anhui Museum to take the ruins of the Sanguan Temple, which has unique resource and cultural advantages, as the attraction point. By interpreting the landscape pattern of the "home" culture of the Xia Dynasty 3600 years ago, extracting representative cultural element symbols, realizing the spillover function of undertaking the exhibition of the museum, displaying the major achievements of field archaeological excavation technology, and creating multiple values of edutainment and education archaeological research base.
The design implantation of the story line of "traceability, preliminary exploration, exploration and harvest", using various forms such as text, charts, physical objects, animation films and television, also enables the public to further understand archaeology, experience archaeology, and know the latest archaeological discoveries and research results, thereby improving the public's cultural literacy and enthusiasm and initiative in protecting cultural heritage.
