Try to prepare for the game and go to the race with all your might
"From August 5th, we started practicing intensively for 6 hours a day until the start of the competition." Coach Zhou Weilin said that for this competition, they began to prepare very early, and they increased the intensity of training before the game. Kung Fu pays off, the special education center at the Paralympic Games has frequently passed on the good results, in the jump rope men's full blind 30 seconds individual counting competition, Yang Hui won the gold medal with a score of 30 seconds 196 seconds, and it was also the first gold medal won by Chongqing Paralympic athletes in the jump rope event; Kang Zhangpeng won the bronze medal in the project with a score of 30 seconds and 172 seconds; Huang Chuanxin and Yang Haotian won the gold medal in the blind jump rope men's doubles synchronized competition; in the jump rope collective counting competition, the special education center won the team silver medal in the project.
"Athletes in the special education center also take cultural classes on weekdays, usually in their spare time." Coach Zhou Weilin said, "It is necessary to carry out 3-5 after-school trainings every week, one hour and a half at a time, to maintain a certain level of training, and there are 3 hours of training time on weekends. ”

There is light in the heart and try to chase dreams
In the jump rope men's full blind 30-second individual counting competition, Yang Hui was calm and unhurried, and he could not see the slightest panic from his expression. He skillfully tossed the rope, jumped, and moved quickly and smoothly, and if you looked at it from a distance, you had no idea that it was a blind boy who was jumping the rope. If you pass by him, you can hear his heavy breathing, the sun shining, and the beads of sweat on his forehead are crystal clear.
The visual impairment did not bring down this optimistic big boy, and in 2016, Yang Hui's athletic talent in jump rope practice was favored by the coach and he was successfully selected for the jump rope team. "Jumping rope has brought me a lot, when I was younger, I was timid, I would panic when I encountered a big scene, and now after participating in so many jump rope competitions, my mentality has been well exercised, and I am not nervous at all when I compete on the same stage with more than a dozen players, and I can do 'Tarzan pressing the top and not changing the color of the face'." Yang Hui said with a smile.
Yang Hui, who is only 20 years old this year, has won 4 paralympic games and championships, "Yang Hui belongs to the talented player, the same action, Yang Hui can always understand faster." Coach Zhou Weilin said.
Even so, Yang Hui, as a fully blind player, still experienced many bumps in the road of training. "In terms of motor training, because there is no concept of vision, the acceptance speed will be very slow. Usually at this time, I will ask the coach or low-vision students, feel the movement through hand-to-hand touch, and slowly find the correct position, angle and rope direction. ”
Talking about the future, Yang Hui said: "I hope that I can continue to win the championship in the future, and jump out of excellent results like Cen Xiaolin and Duan Zhongfei." ”

Because of the love they choose to jump
"Maybe the mentality is the reason, worried about the action mistakes, before the game we felt soft feet, fortunately, our tacit understanding and action performance on the scene are stable, in order to successfully win the game." Yang Haotian, a 17-year-old sophomore at the Chongqing Special Education Center, said that although he has been studying skipping rope for more than five years, he is still a first-time partner with Huang Chuanxin, and he is still a little nervous about participating in such a large competition.
Huang Chuanxin, also from the special education center, is one year older than Yang Haotian, who began to learn jump rope from the age of 15, because he liked to jump rope and joined the Chongqing blind jump rope team, "Although we can't see it, we can feel the waving, beating, and our hearts are full of blood and passion." ”
"The whole game, I was very nervous, really squeezed a handful of sweat in my hands, but fortunately they minimized their mistakes and won by total points." Coach Zhou Weilin said that Yang Haotian and Huang Chuanxin usually practice hard and have solid basic skills, and winning the gold medal is not only an experience and achievement for them, but also an honor and encouragement.
For ordinary people, skipping rope may be a very simple sport, while for blind people it is a difficult task. "Some children may learn for several semesters and can't jump rope." Coach Zhou Weilin explained that because there is no visual memory, it is necessary to teach by hand, such as practicing a fancy movement, where are the arms and legs? This may not be learned for half a day, and when it is learned, it will be forgotten tomorrow. Falling and injuring during training is a common thing, and if you want to fully grasp it, you have to practice and practice repeatedly every day, hundreds of times of practice, and finally form muscle memory.
"Our athletes work very hard and we always help and encourage each other. Through training, the athletes' mental state has also become very good, the competition experience will bring them more confidence, the physical posture has also improved significantly, and everyone is very happy to get together every day. Coach Zhou Weilin said that he hopes that in future competitions, every athlete will have a chance to win a gold medal.
