According to the Workers' Daily, a few days ago, the CPC Central Committee decided that Comrade Chen Gang would be appointed secretary of the party leading group of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.

Zhengzhi Circle (WeChat ID: wepolitics) noted that Chen Gang previously served as deputy secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and director of the Xiong'an New Area Management Committee.

At present, the chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions is Wang Dongming, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. Before the above-mentioned personnel adjustment, Li Yufu was the secretary of the party group of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. He was born in October 1954 at the age of 66.

Chen Gang is a native of Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province, born in April 1965, and is an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee.

He was admitted to the Department of Chemistry of Yangzhou Normal University (now Yangzhou University) at the age of 15, a master's degree in applied chemistry at Harbin Institute of Technology at the age of 19, and a doctorate in the Department of Chemistry of Peking University at the age of 22.

In 1990, after graduating, Dr. Chen Gang worked at the Beijing Glass Research Institute, which belongs to Beijing Yiqing Group. That year, he participated in an international cooperation project of a nuclear center organized by mr. Ding Zhaozhong, a world-renowned experimental physicist. Due to the needs of his work, Chen began to use the Internet and became one of the top 100 users in China to log on to the Internet.

Ten years later, in 2000, Chen Gang joined the company and successively served as deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Commission and director of the Beijing Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

From January 2003 to July 2012, Chen Gang served as the mayor of Chaoyang District and the secretary of the District Party Committee of Beijing, and in July 2012, he was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee.

In June 2013, after nearly 23 years of working in Beijing, Chen Gang served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee for the first time, and the following month he concurrently served as the secretary of the Guiyang Municipal Party Committee, becoming one of the few "post-65" provincial capital cities at that time.

On April 1, 2017, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued a notice and decided to establish a state-level new area, Hebei Xiong'an New Area. The following month, Chen Gang returned to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to serve as a member of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and the provisional party secretary of xiong'an new area.

At the end of June 2017, after the approval of the Xiong'an New Area Management Committee, Chen Gang served as the secretary of the Party Working Committee and the director of the Management Committee of the Xiong'an New Area, and was subsequently elected as the vice governor of Hebei Province.

After working in Hebei for three years, in October 2020, Chen Gang was appointed deputy secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee. Less than 3 months after this appointment, Chen Gangshi went one step further and went to Beijing to serve as the secretary of the party group of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.

This means that from 2012 to the present, in the past 8 years, after experiencing 5 vice-ministerial posts in Beijing, Guizhou and Hebei provinces, Chen Gang has been promoted to the ministerial level.

Among them, among the "top leaders" who were transferred from the local government to the central government, only Chen Gang was promoted from the deputy ministerial level to the main ministerial level after the adjustment of his post, and the other 6 were all transferred at the same level. Only Chen Gang was transferred to the group organization, and the other 6 were all serving in the constituent departments of the State Council.

Among the "number one" who served in the central airborne localities, the more special one is Mao Weiming.

In January this year, Mao Weiming was first transferred from the local government to the central government, and from the standing committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and executive vice governor, he took up the position of chairman of the board of directors and secretary of the party group of the new State Grid Co., Ltd. The State Grid Corporation of China is a wholly state-owned company directly managed by the central government.

In November this year, Mao Weiming was parachuted from the central government to serve as deputy secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and acting governor.
