Step into a new era, shoulder a new mission, and pursue a new journey of dreams. On the morning of September 24, the Eighth Congress of the Communist Party of China Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture was grandly opened at the Mangshi Hall.
The congress was an important meeting held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, at a critical time when our state and the whole province were simultaneously building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and taking advantage of the momentum to start a new journey of comprehensively building socialist modernization. The main tasks of the conference are: hold high the great banner of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches, instructions and inspections of the spirit of Yunnan's important speeches, unite and mobilize party organizations at all levels and the majority of party members, cadres and the masses of all ethnic groups in the whole state, unify ideological understanding, strengthen determination and will, forge ahead and seek a new chapter, strive to start a new journey, and unite our efforts to build Dehong into a safer, more beautiful and richer!

The conference was presided over by Wei Gang.
At 10:00 a.m., Weigang announced the opening of the Eighth Congress of the Communist Party of China Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, all the delegates stood up, and the majestic national anthem sounded at the venue.
The General Assembly shall be composed of 435 delegates, and the actual number of delegates shall be 396, in accordance with the quorum.
On behalf of the Seventh Committee of the Cpc Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Jiang Shan delivered a report entitled "Forge Ahead and Seek a New Chapter, Strive to Sail a New Journey, And Unite Our Efforts to Build Dehong Safer, More Beautiful, and Richer." The report is divided into three parts: a review of the work of the past five years; striving to create a new situation in the development of dehong's various undertakings; and unswervingly promoting the comprehensive and strict management of the party to develop in depth.
Jiang Shan said that since the Seventh Party Congress of the Prefecture, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the Seventh Prefecture Party Committee has resolutely implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Provincial Party Committee, united and led the vast number of party members, cadres and the masses of all ethnic groups in the whole prefecture to face difficulties and forge ahead in overcoming difficulties, and all aspects of work have achieved hard-won results. The past five years have been five years of continuously promoting Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to take root in dehong, five years of Dehong decisively winning the all-round well-off, five years of Dehong firmly practicing the concept of people first and life first, five years of Dehong's reform and opening up taking new steps, five years of continuous improvement of Dehong's border governance capabilities, and five years of continuous restoration and purification of Dehong's political ecology. In the past five years, we have withstood the major tests of many contradictions in development and security and the superposition of risks and challenges, overcome various difficulties and obstacles on the road ahead, and laid a solid foundation for the beginning of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the comprehensive construction of socialist modernization. Jiang Shan pointed out that the next five years or even longer will be an important strategic opportunity period for Dehong to start a new journey of comprehensively building socialist modernization and march toward the second centenary goal, and it is also a special period in which opportunities and challenges coexist. In the next five years, the overall requirements for the work of the whole state are: to take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the guide, fully implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Plenary Sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches, instructions and inspections of the spirit of Yunnan's important speeches, conscientiously implement the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the spirit of the Dehong On-site Office Meeting of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and firmly grasp the overall layout of the "Five-in-One" and the "Four Comprehensive" strategic layout. Consolidate and develop the broadest patriotic united front, carry out in depth the construction of "rule of law Dehong", vigorously strengthen the construction of "digital Dehong", and carry out the construction of "Ping An Dehong" in depth.
