In 1918, grandfather Yang Zhichun [1] and Gao Zhuojiu [2] were studying in Beijing, and they met Mr. Shang Yunxiang, a master of shape and intention boxing, and had the honor of visiting his disciples and learning shape and meaning boxing. Because his grandfather Yang Zhichun was diligent and studious, he had a high degree of understanding, and was deeply appreciated by Mr. Shang Yunxiang, who should be retained by Mr. Shang Yunxiang, and stayed in Beijing for 3 years, eating and living with Mr. Shang Yunxiang, and practicing hard day and night. During this period, while practicing martial arts, he also taught boxing at the Guoshu Gymnium opened by his uncle Xue Qian, so in his grandfather's shaped Yi Fist, he had both the true transmission of Mr. Shang Yunxiang and the shadow of Xue Qian's Shape Yi Fist. During his stay in Beijing, his grandfather Yang Zhichun joined the China Ethics Association at the invitation of Mr. Kong Decheng, president of the China Ethics Association, and successively served as a director, vice president and president of the Ethics Society.
In 1924, my grandfather returned home after completing his studies, concentrated on education, disaster relief and other charitable undertakings of the Moral Society, sold his ancestral business in Andong (now Dandong) and Yantai, and all the silver he obtained was used to help disaster victims and establish education, and then donated the courtyard where he lived to the village to build a school. Throughout his life, his grandfather was poor and adhered to the Yang family motto of "sincerity, filial piety, diligence and thrift"[3].

At the end of the 1920s, after the defeat of the Zhilu Coalition Army, Mr. Gao Lao left the army to set up education, and at the invitation of the government to hold the Seventh Primary School in Laizhou (Ye County) and served as the principal, recruited Zheng Yaonan and a number of other enthusiastic young people as teachers, and cultivated a large number of useful talents, most of whom later became pioneers of the Jiaodong Revolution. "In 1946, he was elected as a national representative of the Republic of China and attended the National Congress, and in the 1940s, he studied Qigong with Mr. Jiang Weiqiao, president of the Chinese Medical Association, and deeply grasped the essence of Qigong, and wrote the book "Summary of Qigong" and co-authored "Shangpai Shape And Intention Fist" with his brother Yang Xiangli." [5] Mr. Gao "accumulated more than ten years of hard work to write more than one million words of "Poetry Voyage", describing the source of Chinese poetics" [6]
In order not to lose his martial arts, from the 1970s onwards, he began to teach Zhiyi Quan with his disciple Mr. Gao Shujiu, and the disciples he taught were Wang Qianyi, Wang Qianmin, Wang Qianjun, Li Peiyi, Liu Jufu, Cheng Shaodeng, Qi Jiansong, Liu Zhaofu, Gao Kedong, etc. After the Cultural Revolution, Mr. Gao Zhuojiu moved to Qingdao, and then passed on Sun Xingxing and Yao Junbao.
Thanks to the hard work of Yang Zhichun and Gao Zhuojiu, two old gentlemen, Wang Qianjun, Liu Jufu, Qi Jiansong, Sun Xingxing, Yao Junbao, and the three generations of Shangpai Shape and Intention Transmission Ma Jiaxian, Liu Yuanzun, Wang Chaohui, Liu Keqin, Liu Chaoyang, Chen Juwei and others, the Shangpai Shape Intention has been carried forward in Jiaodong, and at present, there are more than 100 practitioners, and disciples are spread across many provinces and cities across the country, occupying an important position in the martial arts circles of Jiaodong. The Second Elder is also revered as the Double Ancestor of the Jiaodong Shang Sect.
