Xinqiao Water Granary Group is located in Xinqiao Village, Datang Township, Leishan County, Guizhou Province, is a village with a long history, the whole village has more than 170 households and more than 900 people, except for a few Han families, the rest are Miao, with a strong Miao township style.

Most of the houses in Xinqiao Village are stilt houses, which are not easy to get wet, which is related to the local climate, and perhaps the ancients built water granaries to prevent moisture. Most of the granaries are two rooms wide and one deep, with an area of 25 square meters, 3.5 meters to 4 meters high, through the bucket stilt building, with bluestone blocks to pad the feet, 6 wooden pillars placed on the stone piers, chiseled through the wooden mortise at a distance of 1.5 meters from the water surface, and then installed floor slabs and board walls, small green tiles or fir wood leather roofs. Each warehouse can store about 5,000 kilograms of grain.

The water granary group is simple, natural and unique, and unlike the granary in other ethnic areas of Guizhou, it can be said to be a unique form, with typical and unique characteristics, and at the same time has the functions of rat prevention, fire prevention, insect prevention and theft prevention.
