Recently, Japan's Mt. Fuji TV broadcast the TV series "Badge for You", starring popular Japanese idols Sho Sakurai and Masami Nagasawa. The play tells the story of the protagonist of a professional footballer who is half-dead due to a car accident and has to live in a wheelchair. In his frustration, he encounters wheelchair basketball and is revived by transforming into a wheelchair basketball player with the support of his wife.

Because it is set against the background of sports competition, it will naturally attract the attention of many sports fans. In fact, behind this TV series starring a high-quality idol, there is indeed a real story, and the prototype of the story is called Kyotani Kazuyuki.
Kazuyuki Kyotani has been playing football since he was a child, showing great talent from an early age, and was once a candidate for Japan at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, making his debut in the Japan Professional Football League in 1993. He could have started his J-League career, but a sudden car accident buried his football dreams, forced him to retire from a wheelchair life, and postponed his wedding.
By chance, Kyotani met former wheelchair basketball player Osamu Otaki, and took this as an opportunity for him to start wheelchair basketball training, and the two balls intertwined in his life. With his efforts, he has played in Sydney in 2000, Athens in 2004, Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012, which can be said to have created a miracle in the sports world.
Life goes up and down, but sometimes sports give us a faith that also sustains everyone.
