In 2017, 810 new ones were added, an increase of 14.73% year-on-year, which is the largest number of new gold mining enterprises in China in the past decade. In 2019, 719 companies were added, an increase of 7.31% year-on-year. In 2020, 630 new companies were added, a year-on-year decrease of 12.38%. From the perspective of regional distribution, Hebei ranked first with 1025, Shandong Province and Liaoning Province ranked second and third with 725 and 687 respectively, and Henan ranked fourth with 545.

Urban distribution of gold mining-related enterprises: Yantai is the most, followed by Qinhuangdao and Tangshan
According to the data of enterprise investigation, from the perspective of urban distribution, Yantai ranks first in the list, with 304 gold mine-related enterprises. Qinhuangdao City and Tangshan City have 241 gold mine-related enterprises and 240 enterprises respectively, ranking in the top three. After that, it was Chengde City, Shenzhen City, Xi'an City, etc.
