The Shaolin Temple naturally became the first brake in the world. As the two originators of Zen Buddhism and martial arts, Shaolin, the "dense jungle under shaomu mountain" in the hinterland of The Song Mountains in Zhongyue, got its name. Legend has it that Dharma, the 28th generation disciple of Shakyamuni's eldest disciple Mahakaya, came to Shaolin and collected disciples and began to teach Zen Buddhism.
Because Shaolin martial arts are self-contained and unique in style, the Shaolin school has gained a great reputation in the jianghu. Zen is everywhere, and at the Shaolin Temple, eternal Zen makes people feel it.
The Great Treasure Hall
The Daxiong Treasure Hall is on the front of the mountain gate, and the smoke-filled hall complements the carved beams and pillars, and the melodious Buddhist music passes from the main hall to the ear drums, and a quiet and serious atmosphere fills it.
The murals are the best proof of the vitality of the Shaolin Temple after a thousand years of vicissitudes, and the ancient paintings, complex compositions, and brilliant colors make people sigh. Wandering around the Hall of a Thousand Buddhas, I saw with my own eyes that the northwest wall was painted with five hundred Arhat Dynasties, and each monk's posture and charm were not the same, or contemplation or raising his hand, or laughing or holding the Dharma, or dancing with a long stick or reciting scriptures... This is the legendary Shaolin Temple, and this is the Zen warrior monk in the Shaolin Temple. In the magnificent hall, the earth is reverently incense and prostrates, making the most sincere remembrance for the happiness of future generations.
Stepping into the Hall of a Thousand Buddhas, you are stepping into the Shaolin Martial Hall. The Hall of a Thousand Buddhas is neatly arranged. The 48 foot sockets, which are spaced in an orderly manner and of the same depth, spilled the sweat and tears of the Shaolin warrior monks. Legend has it that after practicing martial arts for three years at the Shaolin Temple, you can practice other things.
Although the legendary Five Elements are far away, Zen appears at all stages of life. How can you hold a pure heart on top of the floating world? How to always be alert to oneself, a kind of detachment, a kind of detachment, in exchange for a lifetime of devotion, some of these taoist actions are worth spending a lifetime to understand.
