In the sixty-fifth time of "Dream of the Red Chamber", Jia Lian's xiao Wei Xing'er "gave a speech" to the You sisters rong guofu, and when mentioning Daiyu, he said, "The face, stature and third aunt are not bad, a stomach article, just a body with many diseases." Because of Xing'er's words, many people think that You Sanjie is like Dai Yu.
There are many daughters in the Red Chamber, and the author clearly states that those who look like Daiyu are Keqing, Qingwen, and Lingguan. Ke Qing refers to the sister of the police fairy in the too illusory realm, the author said that her "Xianyan is like Baochao, and Yuanna is feminine and charming like Daiyu", which shows that the similarity between Keqing and Daiyu is the temperament of her Yuanna's body and wind.
And Qingwen's "eyebrows are a bit like" Daiyu, but it was said through Madame Wang's mouth. Ling Guan wrote directly by the author: "Eyebrows are furrowed on the spring mountain, eyes are autumn waves, the face is thin and waist is thin, and the yuan is Tingting, and there is a state of daiyu." In addition, at Baochao's birthday party, Xiao Dan in the drama class hired by Jia Mu at the expense of Jia Mu, Feng Jie laughed and said, "This child dresses up like a person", and the result is broken by Xiang Yun: It is like Sister Lin.
However, if you think that You Sanjie is like Daiyu based on Xiao Wei's words alone, I don't agree.
Of course, Lin Daiyu and You Sanjie are both beautiful, perhaps equally beautiful. The beauty of Daiyu, the author said that it was "rare and handsome", the beauty of the third sister, Baoyu called her "a beautiful thing". But beauty and famous flowers, thousands of purples and thousands of reds, each has its own style. How can the beauty of Daiyu be similar to the beauty of You Sanjie?
First, the temperament is different
First of all, the two people's origins are different, and their temperaments are naturally very different.
Dai Yu's father, Lin Ruhai, was a former scholar of exploring flowers and patrolling salt, and the Lin family was a marquis in the ancestors, who was both the family of Zhong Ding and the family of scholars. Jia Min, the mother of Daiyu, was the most favored young daughter in Jia Province in her heyday, and she was a "big lady of a thousand honors", and even Lady Wang could not hope for it.
As the only daughter of Lin Ruhai and his wife, Dai Yu has been pampered since childhood, grew up in "Love Like a Treasure", and has been taught by Jia Yu Village, so Dai Yu's temperament is extraordinary. Even in my grandmother's house, compared with Jia Fu Sanchun, not only will it not be dwarfed, but it will be better.
At the first meeting, Wang Xifeng boasted: "There are such Peugeot people in the world", not to flatter Jia Mu, but to say "this all-round style, it is not like a granddaughter, but like the granddaughter of a concubine", but it is her exquisite performance. Because in feudal society, the granddaughter of a concubine is a blood relationship that is closer than the granddaughter.
In the third spring of Jia Province, Sister Feng had to praise Daiyu, but she could not crush the Jia sisters, so she said these words. In the "fairy-like" Lin sister, we see the quiet and elegant elegance of the noble maiden, coupled with her love of poetry books, Dai Yu is soaked with the fragrance of books.
You Sanjie is the daughter of a commoner. When her father was alive, the family was still well off, and Second Sister You was related to Zhang Huading, the son of the head of the imperial family, and the two families should be the right door. However, the You sisters unfortunately lost their father when they were young, so they had to remarry with their mother to the You family. The You family is not a big family, it should be a well-off family.
Because you are very tall, the father of the You family will not marry a widow with two oil bottles; but if the You family door is too low, it is probably unlikely that you will marry Jia Zhen to continue the string. Therefore, I deduce that the You family should be a well-to-do commoner's family.
As a "drag oil bottle" of You Sanjie, the state of survival must be extremely difficult. Especially after the death of You's father, not to mention studying, the livelihood of the three of them has become a problem, and they have to rely on Jia Zhen's zhou ji to live. Different from Daiyu's pampering and superiority, You Sanjie has seen the cold and warm of the world since she was a child, eaten all the sweetness and bitterness of the world, and even became the plaything of Jia Zhen's father and son in order to survive with her sister, such an experience made this fierce girl like a rose give birth to thorns, forming a spicy personality. She is beautiful but never dignified, she is affectionate, but she is never chaste and self-satisfied. This can be seen from her scolding Jia Zhen and Jia Lian's brothers.
Therefore, in terms of temperament, there is no similarity between the two.
Second, the appearance is different

Although Xing'er said that Dai Yu and You Sanjie's "face and stature" were "not bad", I think what he wanted to express was that Dai Yu and You SanJie were both extremely beautiful people. I remember that when the servant women of the Zhen family came to Jia Mansion to ask for peace, when they saw Baoyu, they said that they looked exactly like their Zhen Baoyu, and Jia Mu said a passage: "The delicate children raised by everyone, except for those who have disabilities on their faces and are very black and ugly, probably look the same neat." Xing'er's words can also be roughly understood by Jia Mu's words, that is, the same beautiful woman, Dai Yu and the third sister's face and figure are superior.
Dai Yu is sick, weak willow wind, Jiao hua shines water, and her figure is naturally thin and weak. You Sanjie may also be slender, but she will not be as weak as Daiyu. The beauty of Daiyu is delicate, and the beauty of the third sister is flamboyant.
As for the face, Dai Yu is "two bends like a furrowed eyebrow, a pair of eyes that seem to be happy and not happy", and You Sanjie has a pair of "autumn water eyes", "willow eyebrow cage green fog, tankou point dansha".
Let's start with the eyes. The affection of Daiyu is a connotation of "who complains about this feeling in the pulse", which activates Daiyu's sentimentality. The third sister's "autumn water eye" is a classic of Tang poems. Many poets in the Tang Dynasty likened women's clear eyes to autumn water. Such as "a pair of pupils cut autumn water" "eyes cut autumn water" and so on.
As for what the "Autumn Water Eye" looks like, there doesn't seem to be a clear concept, but only that the clear and transparent eyes must be beautiful. However, such autumn water eyes, the author just grasped the "astringency, lascivious waves" she added after drinking, which made people unforgettable.
Looking at the eyebrows again, Daiyu's "like a furrowed eyebrow" concentrates Daiyu's smokey melancholy between the eyebrows. Daiyu's eyebrows, like the eyes, are not to realize the shape of the eyebrows, but to write Daiyu's intentions. Daiyu's eyebrows, what exactly looks like, the author's portrayal is very freehand, in addition to beauty, we can not describe and describe. Later, when writing Qingwen, I also borrowed a sentence from Madame Wang, "The eyebrows are a bit like your Lin sister", which dyes the beauty of Qingwen and reflects daiyu's beautiful eyebrows.
In comparison, You Sanjie's eyebrows are much more realistic. "Willow eyebrows" is the shape of the eyebrows like willow leaves, and "caged green smoke" means that the eyebrows are faded from the thick black of the eyebrow peak to the fading of the eyebrow tips. Like its "autumn water eyes", the eyebrows of the third sister can be felt concretely, we can imagine, and can be compared. Just like her "Tankou Dian Dansha", we can think of Baochao's natural beauty of "eyebrows are not painted but green, lips are not points but red".
Third, the attire is different
As for the shape of their faces, they are not described in the book, and we can really only rely on imagination. Even if the two people have the same face shape, they may not have similar "faces". Because a person's appearance is not only affected by facial features, but also affected by mood and dress.
Dai Yu's costume author rarely mentions, because Dai Yu is a "god" like dust, those costumes are all things outside the body, "there are strange women in the deep boudoir, the world is empty and pearly", and the Dai Yu in Bao Yu's eyes only has "the sorrow of being born of two, and the illness of the delicate body", and there is no description of its clothing. In only one poem written by Lu Xue'an, the author describes the wearing of Daiyu on a snowy day: "Red Fragrant Sheepskin Coat", "Crane in the White Fox with Big Red Feather Veil", and "Golden Heart Flashing Green Double Ring Four-In-One Ruyi". Daiyu's dress is beautiful and noble, which reflects her physical weakness.
What impressed us deeply about You Sanjie was that she "loosely held her hair, the big red jacket was half hidden and half open, exposing her green breasts, and a trace of snow." Green pants and red shoes at the bottom, a pair of golden lotuses or knock or "two pendants, but like a swing". The third sister's dress is "excellent and different", and this kind of dress complements her "unattainable obscene mood", reflecting her struggle in a filthy environment, making the reader sigh in vain.
Dai Yu and the third sister are both beautiful, but the beauty of the two, one as fresh as the water hibiscus, the other as seductive as a blazing rose, is not similar.
Fourth, the author's tendency
Moreover, the author did not express that there was a similarity between the two, on the contrary, the author wrote in the sixty-fourth time comparing Daiyu and You's sisters. This time, the recollection is "Youla Lady Sorrow Five Beautiful Yin, Prodigal Son's Love Relic Jiulong Pei", "YouLag" refers to Daiyu, although the corresponding is "Prodigal Son", but the thing referred to is obviously Jia Lian and You Erjie's "wind debt".
This time in the version of the former Soviet Leningrad collection, there is a poem, in the present, after the main text: "There are strange women in the deep boudoir, and the world is empty and pearly." The lovers are bitter and tearful, and they are not sorry to look haggard. Mourning a thousand souls, thin life is no different. Oh Pisan people, good and ugly is not his kind. ”
Obviously, "Deep Girl" refers to Daiyu, but "Sangjian" refers to the You sisters. This allusion comes from the Book of Han. Geographical Chronicle", "There are obstacles between sangma and Pushang in the weidi, and men and women are also eager to gather, and they are full of color." Therefore, it is commonly known as Zheng and Wei Zhiyin. Later, "Kuwama" was used more often to refer to the obscene wind, and "Kuwama" referred to the "character deficiency" of the You sisters.
Although the author has deep sympathy for the suffering of Sister You, his thinking cannot reach the height of treating Third Sister You and Lin Daiyu equally.
5. The source of misunderstanding
If this is the case, why would anyone think that Third Sister You looks like Daiyu? Probably "credulous" to the words of Xiao Xing'er. As a small squatter, Xing'er had no chance to closely observe Daiyu's face and posture, so his words did not have to be taken seriously.
In addition, although Xing'er is a small talker, he is a very smart and slippery little guy. He said that Daiyu's "face and figure are not different from the third aunt" context is that you sisters give him wine to drink, and in the context of chatting with him, you sisters' behavior of "drinking with the mother" is a serious violation of etiquette in feudal society.
In this case, Xiao Wei was flattered and must have picked up good things to say to them. The beauty of Daiyu is appreciated by all, and even Xue Pan accidentally saw it and "crisped down", which is naturally synonymous with beauty, and it will not be wrong to flatter You Sanjie.
In summary, although Xing'er's words are not necessarily all "nonsense", I do not agree with the sentence "Face, figure and third aunt are not bad" to judge that Dai Yu and You Sanjie are similar or even godlike.
