On October 28, the Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau released the second phase of the 2021 Autumn Leaf Viewing Index, pointing out that the next two weeks will be the best time for tourists to see the autumn leaves.

The index shows that Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Tangjiahe Nature Reserve, Guangwu Mountain Scenic Area and other places will enter the best viewing period this weekend. However, because of the more rain in some scenic spots, the ornamental effect of autumn leaves is not as good as in previous years.

The Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau reminds that at present, the Tianquan Erlang Mountain Scenic Area is still in the traffic control period, the road reconstruction conditions of the Baoxing Donglashan Grand Canyon Scenic Area are poor, and there is a problem of poor traffic roads in the Pingwu Wanglang Nature Reserve, and the above attractions are cautious to go. At the same time, we remind the majority of tourists to pay close attention to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control in various places and take the initiative to cooperate with various epidemic prevention measures.

Note: According to the geographical location of the main autumn leaf scenic spots in Sichuan Province, the environmental and climatic conditions and the degree of discoloration of the leaves, the "autumn leaf index" is divided into III.

"Grade I red leaf index" means that the leaf discoloration rate is between 10% and 35%, and it is in the yellowing state of the leaves, which is more suitable for travel and viewing.

The "Grade II Red Leaf Index" represents that the leaf discoloration rate is between 35% and 60%, between red and yellow and orange red, which is suitable for viewing.

The "Grade III Red Leaf Index" represents that the leaf discoloration rate is between 60% and 95%, all of which are dark red, dark red or purple red, which is the best time to watch the red leaves.
