1. The end of the war is the beginning of misfortune
This story begins at the end of world war I.
What kind of war was the First World War? We all know that after the Sarajevo incident, the whole of Europe became a pot of porridge. The imperialist countries are tearing each other apart in order to compete for world hegemony and colonies. It is a war of injustice that is widely implicated.
At a time when Germany and France were about to end the truce, Lieutenant Pradell was not satisfied. He sent scouts, but fired cold guns at them in the back, provoking a clash that increased the casualties that should have been there. Soldier Perico, in the process of rescuing Soldier Merrard, suffered a facial injury. Perico felt that he could no longer go back to face his harsh father, and used the name of his fallen comrades and has since become anonymous. And Merlard, as the only person who knew the truth of the last war, did not have a good life. And in the process, Maillard has been with him.
2, innocent and kind girl, the salvation in the dark life
In front of Pollyn, the newspaper girl, Pericola pulled off her mask, revealing the frightening lower half of her face, while Pauline only gently stroked his scar and held him silently comforting. The two have since developed a strange connection, and only Pauline can understand what Perico is saying.

3. The artist's scam
Can you imagine that wounded soldiers who escaped from war would make a fortune with monuments dedicated to the fallen soldiers?

4. Soldiers who fight back
When Perico and Mélad discover that Captain Pradell, who had brought them to this end, had turned into a high society and married Perico's sister, the two decided to deal with him. They found a stubborn ombudsman, anonymously reported it, and asked him to go to Chaprardère's troubled coffins.
The Merlin Inspector was not moved by the bribe, and a report was handed over, almost destroying Pradell. In the end, it was his father-in-law, Perico's father, who suppressed the matter.
Merlard, who found Pradal safe and sound, went straight to him. In the confrontation between the two, Pradair was accidentally buried. Just as Mérard was buried on the battlefield, the difference was that Pradell was not rescued.
5. Reconciled father and son
The disheartened elder Perico, who lost his son, held a competition to design the Monument to the Victims, and he demanded that the monument have a blank large enough to write the names of all the victims of the war who were born in the eighth district and died in the war.
Among the five works that finally stood out, the elder Perico found his son's exclusive signature and chose this one. After discovering that the artist had used a fake address and a false name, he asked Pradell, who had just escaped from the coffin incident, to find the artist who did not exist.
In the end, father and son met and untied the knots that had been in their hearts for many years. Perico jumped, and the yin and yang were eternally separated.

Some people have counted that in the movie Perico wears 38 masks. Among them, there is a mask that is exactly what Perico looked like before the disfigurement. While wearing this mask, he painted his sister in the distance where Pradell and Inspector Merlin could be seen. Although he decided to abandon his past life, he still cared about his relatives and did not want her to be delayed in such a scumbag in this life.
