Wang Chaishui, also known as Wang Hanmin, a native of Houfang Village outside the East Gate of Hui'an, was one of the four giant bandits in Hui'an in the early years of the Republic of China, and among the four giant bandits, Wang Chaishui's bandits were particularly harmful to Hui'an, and ran amok in Hui'an for 15 years. This person was also an official and a bandit, kidnapping tickets and extorting money, storming the city and breaking the village, killing people like hemp, and doing all kinds of bad things, and finally ended up with a shameful end of being shot by the government.

Wang Chaishui worked in Hui'an County Middle School and Xiamen Jimei School. In 1918, when there was a school tide at Jimei School, he left the school and went to Jinjiang Anhai to surrender his hometown, Wang Lian, who was then the company commander of the Minnan People's Army. Worked as a clerk under Wang Lian. Resident Wind Nest Mountain. In the Fengchao Mountain People's Army, there are fierce men known as "twenty-four kills", and Wang Chaishui is one of them.
Later, when Wang Chaishui returned to Hui'an, he used the Huixitian ship as a nest of bandits and was the one who was the culprit. In order to expand his strength, he took zhuangding from neighboring villages to serve as bandits. In his old nest of field ships, he often had more than 400 pawns. He also set up a so-called "liaison tax" on 600 villages. Another way he amassed wealth was by manipulating the smuggling of salt extracts. He also restricted the peasants in various villages to plant large-scale opium, which he bought, and then made "tobacco cakes" and transported them to Wenzhou, Zhejiang, and other places to sell in exchange for guns and ammunition. It is said that the amount of silver dollars received every day is difficult to calculate, and he dug several large silver cellars indoors, and the silver dollar cellars were full.
Kidnapping and ransom is a major part of wang chaishui banditry. The kidnapped masses, the bandits called meat tickets. Each meat ticket was extorted for ransom ranging from one hundred yuan to several thousand yuan. Bandits kidnapped everywhere, even the elderly and children were not spared. Once, Wang Chaishui sent his minions by car to surround Kui Lane outside Chengguan Gate and arrest more than 20 adults and children at once. In addition to sending bandits to kidnap the masses, Wang Chaishui also "bought meat tickets" from bandits in Xianyou and other places, each of which was collected at a purchase price of 20% according to the amount of ransom money extorted, and then changed hands to extort money.
Wang Chai was extremely cruel in nature, and in order to "keep secrets" and deepen the horror of meat tickets, he imposed various cruel punishments on meat tickets. He blindfolded the meat tickets he had caught with strips of cloth, stuffed them into his mouth with cloth, poured candle oil into his ears, and imprisoned them on this hill today and moved to another hill tomorrow. He set up earthen prisons and water prisons to forbid meat tickets and tortured them severely. Wang Shuangfa recalled that he was arrested and imprisoned in a water prison, the bandits asked him whether he wanted to eat a stick or eat noodles, in the bandits' black words, eating a stick was "hitting" eating noodles is "hanging", after several days of torture, when redeemed, his limbs were puffy, and even his pants could not be worn. Wang Chaishui played mahjong at night and night, and on a whim, he ordered the 4 meat ticket heads to put candles on fire and crouched on the mahjong table to illuminate until dawn. He also made several large wooden barrels with snakes in them, and put meat tickets into the barrels, some of which were frightened and insane. Meat tickets that cannot be redeemed are "torn tickets". Chengguan merchants Lin Zhentang, Zhang Guangming, and gentleman Chen Jinghu were all kidnapped and redeemed for 5,000 yuan and 1,000 yuan each.
On June 6, 1929 (the 29th day of the fourth lunar month), the Huicheng garrison was deployed, and Wang Chaishui obtained information secretly sent by Wang Lian, taking advantage of the emptiness of the defense of Chengguan, and led more than 300 bandits from the tianchuan to enter the county town, wantonly plundering and raping, and 19 large merchants such as the Cloth Merchant Yicheng, Tongyuan, Jinfa, and Yiji were looted. Thirteen merchants were kidnapped and redeemed for huge sums of money ranging from thousands to thousands of dollars. This was an unprecedented catastrophe in The history of Hui'an, later known as the "June 6 Massacre".
The bandit city of the past, today the scenery is new. Hui'an is known as "Seaside Zoulu" and has "China's charming local folk customs town". There is the only group of Han Chinese women dressed in peculiar costumes in China, and it is also known as the capital of southern stone carving. Hui'an women's costumes and Hui'an carvings are the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in China. In 1932, Wang Chaishui was defeated by the bandit Chen Guohui led by the bandit Chen Guohui in Xianyou County, and fled back to Hui'antian to bury guns and ammunition in the ground, store the property, dismiss the minions, collect some of the fine silver dollars with him, flee to Fuzhou, and then flee to Shanghai. Later, he was tracked down and discovered by the Hui'an Brigade Shanghai Fellow Villagers Association, so the Hui'an masses and people outside the brigade accused Wang Chaishui of being a bandit, and wrote to Wu Tiecheng, commander of the Shanghai Garrison, asking him to publicly shoot Wang Chaishui to eliminate harm for the people.
Wu Tiecheng complied with the public opinion, made an announcement, and invited hui'an compatriots to come and visit. Wu Tiecheng ordered that Wang Chaishui, who had committed many crimes, be shot in the front to calm the people's anger. In October, Wang Chaishui was arrested and tied up and shot at Longhua Airport on Longhua Road. The bandits, full of evil, ended up with a shameful end.
