Hello everyone, I am "Dragon Mu" today to tell you: the emperor of the Murong family
After the rise of Murong Shi, he founded five states during the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty: "Former Yan, Later Yan, Southern Yan, Western Yan, and Tuguhun Kingdom". Among them, "the four Yan kingdoms have been brilliant for nearly a century, and Tuguhun (founded for 550 years) has the highest history."
When the territory of the Former Yan Dynasty was the largest, it "stretched from Liaodong in the east, to the Yellow River in the west, to the desert in the north, and to Huaibei in the south", and once unified the Central Plains and became the absolute first power in the world at that time.
Murong Xianbei created a unique Murong culture. The Former Yan and Later Yan dynasties created eight "most": the earliest capital city in northeast China, the earliest imperial palace in northeast China, the earliest Buddhist temple in northeast China, the earliest school in northeast China, the earliest silkworm industry in northeast China, the earliest royal garden in northeast China, the earliest imperial examination in northeast China (and even the whole country), and the earliest capital city in Beijing. Be the real "King of the Northeast"!

Murong Juan (319–360), courtesy name Xuanying, small character He Laiba, was Murong Hao's second son.
Murong Xi once said: "I have accumulated blessings and benevolence, and my descendants should have the Central Plains." (1) After Murong Juan was born, his grandfather Murong Yu was very happy, and whenever he met people, he said: "The bones here are not permanent, and my family has gained it." (2) He thinks that he is extraordinary in appearance, and he will definitely have a career in the future, and he will certainly be able to make a wishful thinking and forge ahead in the Central Plains. In the third year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (337), Murong Hao made him crown prince. After Murong Juan's death, Murong Juan succeeded to the throne.

Murong Juan's ascension to the throne was the year of his establishment and he was ambitious. Therefore, the first thing he did after he ascended the throne was to take advantage of the internal turmoil in Later Zhao and send troops to the Central Plains. In February of the sixth year (350) of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Murong Juan, Murong Chui, and Mu Youyu attacked Later Zhao in three separate routes. When Murong Chui arrived at Sanxing, the Later Zhao general Deng Heng burned the warehouse and abandoned Anle City to flee for his life. In March, Murong Juan's army arrived at infinity, and King Shi of Zhao Youzhou fled at noon, and Former Yan easily occupied Jicheng. Murong Juan left Mu Yougu to rectify Jicheng, and personally led his troops to pursue Deng Heng, who had fled to Lukou, and then led his troops back to Longcheng via Jicheng.
The second thing was to fight Ran Wei. After Ran Min established the state of Wei, he besieged the capital of Later Zhao Shiqi (1) for more than a hundred days, and seeing that Xiangguo was difficult to protect, Shi Qi sent the lieutenant Zhang Ju to request reinforcements from Former Yan. Murong Juan sent the imperial general Yue Xie with 30,000 men to rescue Shi Qi, and it just so happened that Ran Min also sent Chang Wei as an envoy to Former Yan to demand that Yan Wei be reconciled. Murong Juan did not take Ran Min in his sights, and in August of the same year sent Murong Ke and Murong Bei to attack Ran Wei's Zhongshan and Changshan; the following year, he captured Ran Min and beheaded him at Longcheng. After that, Murong Juan ordered the Guangwei general Murong Jun, the Dianzhong general Mu Yougen, and the right Sima Huangfu Zhen to lead troops to assist Murong Juan in capturing Yecheng.

After destroying Ran Min, Murong Juan felt that the time had come to claim the title of emperor, so in the eighth year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (352), he declared himself emperor at Jicheng, and set up a hundred officials, making The Hun clan empress and Murong Ye the crown prince, completely abandoning the strategy of honoring Jin. He built Liutai in the original capital of the country, Longcheng, and ordered Longcheng to be the capital of Liudu. At this time, the Eastern Jin Dynasty envoys sent an envoy to Former Yan, and Murong Juan said to them: "Ru is still the Son of Bai Ru, I have a lack of inheritance, and I have been promoted by China, and I have become an emperor." (1) Murong Juan established the capital in Beijing, eight hundred and one years before the Jin Dynasty yan liangding the capital of Beijing, and was the first person to establish the capital in Beijing as emperor. Five years later, he moved the capital to Yecheng.
After Murong Juan became emperor, Sun Hei, Jibei Taishou Gaozhu, and Jianxing Taishou Gaozhu surrendered to Former Yan, and Wang Zhao of Goguryeo also sent envoys to visit Former Yan, which made Murong Juan revel in victory. However, the remnants of Ran Min's forces, Lü Hu, were still active in the Lukou area after Ran Min's death, so Murong Juan sent Murong Ke and Yue Xie to attack Lü Hu, and soon eliminated Lü Hu's troops. At this time, Duan Gong, the son of Duan Lan of Liaodong, took advantage of Ran Min's annihilation to raise troops to Guanggu and proclaim himself the King of Qi, accusing Murong Juan of being emperor. In January of the fifth year of the Former Yan Dynasty (356), Murong Juan sent Murong Ke and Murong Chen to send troops to Guanggu, and Duan Gong was defeated and surrendered.
After the fall of Later Zhao, The generals Li Li, Zhang Ping, and Gao Chang of the Yuanshihu, and Feng Duan, the Taishou of Shangdang, all led their subordinates to Murong Huan, but not long after, they came and went with The Jin and Former Qin, and secretly communicated with each other. When Murong Huan saw this, he became angry and ordered Murong Ping to comment on Zhang Ping in the second year of Former Yan Guangshou (358), Mu Yougen to attack Feng Duan, Yang Tou to attack Gao Chang, and Murong Zang to ping Li Li. Li Li and the others knew that they were not opponents and fled one after another, and Former Yan captured almost all of their soldiers and horses.
During this period, the Former Yan Empire stretched from Liaodong in the east to the Yellow River in the west, near the desert in the north and Huaibei in the south, becoming the first power at that time. Murong Juan, who was strong and powerful, wanted to fight a decisive battle with Former Qin and Eastern Jin in an attempt to unify the world. He then ordered the prefectures and counties to re-verify their hukou, stipulating that each household should only keep one ding, and the rest should all join the army, planning to gather 1.5 million troops to attack Luoyang. Former Qin and Eastern Jin, fearing Former Yan, removed the imperial title one after another to avoid the attack: Emperor Sima of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, who went to the imperial title and called himself "Dadao Yiguo", Former Qin Jianjian went to the imperial title, known as the "Great Qin Heavenly King", and Murong Juan became the only emperor in China at that time. At the end of the third year of former Yan Guangshou (359), all the conscripted soldiers from all over the country gathered in Yecheng to be ready for duty, but at this time, he was seriously ill with unpaid ambitions.
Murong Juan was seriously ill, and the crown prince Murong Wei was only ten years old. Murong Wei was murong ye's crown prince after murong Ye died in the twelfth year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (356). Murong Juan summoned Murong Ke and entrusted him with the task of entrusting him with his duties. In the first month of the first year of the Former Yan Jianxi (360), Murong Juan fell ill and died a few days after the end of the military parade in Yecheng, at the age of forty-two, and was buried in Longling (1), with the title of Emperor Jingzhao and the temple name of Liezu.

Murong Juan was a more accomplished emperor. According to the Book of Jin, he was "a man of great posture, a scholarly scholar, and a man of letters and martial arts", and "a good scholar who, from the beginning of his reign to the last year, was tireless in his lectures, had the leisure to observe the government, and only mixed up with his attendants, and wrote more than forty articles." Serious in nature, cautious and mighty, never slowly obeyed the dynasty, although idle in the feast, there is no slackness. (1) He was also humble and open-minded. The military orders on the management of the army are strict and do not violate the people. After the capture of the Central Plains, he vigorously formulated the Confucian ritual music system to clarify the ranks and distinguish identities, and promote the sinicization of xianbei. He also vigorously promoted Confucian culture and set up primary schools to educate the children of the nobility. During his reign, the former Yan state reached its peak.
