According to the latest foreign media reports, during the new crown virus pandemic, Apple implemented a home-based work policy for employees, but the company still has several new products still in development. It is reported that Apple is promoting the development of upgraded HomePod and Apple TV, low-cost iPad, new Apple Watch and new iMac, which may be released as early as this year.

The report also mentioned that Apple is expected to release the iPhone 12 in the "normal fall window". In terms of software, the iOS 14 and watchOS 7 operating systems are also being developed according to the established plan.

In early March, Apple took a very different approach, beginning to allow engineers to bring home early versions of future devices to continue working during lockdowns. Previously, the company only allowed selected employees to take home near-finished devices such as iPhones for testing in the real world.

Bringing future products home requires the "green light" of the vice president of the employee's department. Apple's senior vice presidents sometimes review this list of employees who are working on the devices of the future at home. As part of the "work from home" initiative, Apple has restricted which employees can take home future versions of the software, including the latest versions of iOS running on the iPhone and iPad.

At present, the progress of the iPhone 12 is confusing, with some news that it will not jump the ticket, or appear as scheduled in September this year, and other news that it may appear two months later than expected. However, yesterday, Bloomberg gave the news that Apple will not postpone the progress of the iPhone 12, but its mass production work will not be earlier than May.

According to Kuo's earlier analysis, Apple expects to release four so-called iPhone 12 models in the fall, including a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models and a 6.7-inch model. All of these devices are rumored to feature OLED displays and support for 5G, and the midframe may be redesigned to resemble a tablet style similar to the iPad Pro and iPhone 4, rather than the fluid surface after the iPhone 6.

For Apple, although it is fortunate that Fuji's recovery production is good, other supply chains are still facing a crisis of disruption, which may mean that some medium- and long-term products in the plan will be forced to be postponed.
