Hunan Daily • New Hunan Client, May 14 (Correspondent He Tao) A few days ago, Mr. Wu Xiansheng, 88 years old wearing a naval uniform, came to the School of Economics and Management of Changsha University of Science and Technology and shared with the students his magnificent years during the new Chinese Navy.

Wu Xiansheng, born in 1932 in Longshan County, Xiangxi Province, joined the army in 1949 and was the first generation of naval radar soldiers in New China. After being selected to be sent to the Shanghai Radar Squadron of the East China Naval School to study radar, he came to Qingdao, an outpost of coastal defense, after the end of the study. He was involved in the establishment of the first naval radar station and the first Volunteer radar station.
"The victory of the party is the driving force for me to persevere, as long as there is faith, any difficulty, even disaster, is nothing." Whenever Wu Xiansheng was asked about the difficult years of the island, he answered with sonorous and powerful answers. It has been learned that Wu Xiansheng has been invited to return to the old units many times, eat and live with the officers and men, feel the rapid progress of the naval modernization construction, and exchange history of the development of the navy. At the same time, Wu Xiansheng often went into the school to give students patriotic education lessons.
At the sharing meeting, Wu Xiansheng also showed the students precious photos of the war years, a piece of paper neatly pasted together, attracting young students to stop and watch, all of which were shocked.
It is reported that in order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, the School of Economics and Management of Changsha University of Science and Technology has carefully planned a series of educational activities on the theme of "I Forge Ahead with the Motherland", hoping that through the real life experience of typical characters, the contemporary young students will be encouraged to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, internalize patriotism in their hearts, externalize it in their deeds, learn true skills well, and contribute to national rejuvenation.
