In the play, the male number two Mo Junjie, played by him, is introverted and sensitive, and has only one friend, Li Ziwei, who has had a bad hearing since childhood, and is involved in the murder case of Xiao Chinese New Year's Eve because he likes Chen Yunru (Huang Yuxuan). Mo Junjie faces the choice of friendship and love in the play, including the choice of good and evil, and there are many moments of inner struggle. The Paper: Why do you think you are qualified for the role of Xiaobei?
Shi Baiyu: It's not that I am competent, I like it more, and I want to challenge and try. Whether it is competent or not depends, of course, on the acceptance of the directors and the audience. But I'm very happy, it's really cool to play the bad guy... I remember that at that time, Brother Peng invited us to the front of the stage, because at that time, both Ren Min and ren were still in the atmosphere.
The Paper: In the process of acting, what are the difficulties to overcome?
Shi Baiyu: In fact, the first few times it is more difficult is the camera position, because it is between the middle of drama and film and television, it is possible that you are in this state, but the camera position cannot be brought, then you must readjust.
At the scene, the acting teacher asked our first sentence, do you want to go according to the original script? We thought that there was only one scene, and we had to show the whole story, including the structure of the script, which was really difficult. Before the performance, we didn't do anything, and the acting teacher let the two of us face each other for 15 minutes, watching each other chat in a corner, and we kept grinding with each other. In fact, what the original script is, I really don't remember clearly, our rehearsal and performance are completely different, the lines of each rehearsal are different, and it seems that the whole thing has changed later, she uses her way to act, I use my way to act, and I believe in each other. But the last time I performed, I still remember. It's a wonderful feeling.

The Paper: Do you like this kind of improvisation of believing in each other?
Shi Baiyu: Yes, I don't think you can cut too many details, you can't rehearse all the time, because in the end, there is actually no soul. Maybe I don't have so much experience, and I need to trust my opponents, communicate and listen. I prefer this way, and it just so happens that Ren Min is also helping me, constantly guiding the empathy of the two people.
The Paper: Since you started in the industry, have you thought of acting like this?
Shi Baiyu: This is just my current performance direction, in fact, I am constantly looking for direction, which way, I will choose to continue to go. There is no right or wrong in the performance, some people feel that they are going to shed tears at that second, have a established state of crying, a state of happiness, but everyone understands the method differently.
In fact, I didn't necessarily think so in the early days, and I don't know if it will change again. But at least I've performed twice so far, and I've had some audience recognition, and I like the direction I'm going in now.
The Paper: After the recording of "Actors Please Seat 2" for a while, has your view of performance changed?
Shi Baiyu: Yes. I think the word "empathy", although the directors have always spoken, but how to do it is really difficult, the directors have said a sentence, to the effect that "tears are not valuable", or "too many tears are not valuable". Because I myself am in that zero-sum state, I cry very miserably, cry like a child, otherwise I don't cry very much.
I thought about it for a long time when the director said it, because I think if you are really emotional, you will cry if you want to cry, and you can talk about it if you want to talk, but the directors may feel that at some points, you shed a little tear, or you smile, the audience's feelings will be very different, and it may be a matter of skill. This may be the difference between the director and the actor's perspective.
The Paper: What do you mean by this, in fact, you don't have a conclusion?
Shi Baiyu: Not yet. Like the last time I performed, there was an actor who played the brother of a brother who really couldn't help it, really wanted to cry, you said how to endure, because the emotions really arrived. But the directors will (ask you to control), and it's really hard. Maybe this is the way the director gives us a higher level of acting, so that we have more levels, how to deal with different levels of feelings, so far I have not been able to solve this "problem".
One of the biggest differences between the class performance and the non-class class is that the class will have a template, of course, the template must have something worth learning, but after learning it, it will be the best state to re-achieve the balance (template and self).

The Paper: When you first acted, did you think so much?
Shi Baiyu: Not really. But when listening to the directors' comments, I will think a lot, if I am acting in my current way, I will still cry out directly, is it to change the state to interpret the role. It is okay for me to learn at this stage that the director conveys the knowledge points, but it is difficult to suddenly improve in a short period of time. A lot of actors have made a few scenes, and they may feel a little bit of progress, and we are just a scene here.
The Paper: Do you trust your own feelings more or the feelings of others?
Shi Baiyu: Of course, it is your own feelings, but you must receive professional guidance. Like I just said, whether too many tears are worthless, this is a question I have never thought about, of course, I will still use my own feelings to perform, but a little bit of integration of the director's way, maybe it will be better for me.
The Paper: What do you think is a good performance at this stage?
Shi Baiyu: The belief that I want to convey can really be conveyed to everyone's heart, maybe after 5 or 10 years, everyone will remember such a thing, such a person.
Because when I see some of the more literary films, I see some more realistic themes, these people may not appear in the eyes of the public so often, but you can feel the story behind them, or the social issues they want to discuss. This is not an easy thing to do, and there may be a small group of people who are working hard for it. I think this is probably a direction I'll like.
The Paper: What are the films that have had a greater impact on you before you enter the industry?
Shi Baiyu: Handsome... Oh well asked about the film. In fact, when I first started to contact filming performances, I must want to be handsome, I want to be able to show my charm, and I have also had this stage, such as wanting to play basketball, wanting to use the things I like in performances, and there is such a handsome side for the audience to see. But when you slowly start to contact niche movies, or watch some niche films again, you start to have a different perspective, and you will stand on their (the main creator of niche films) and think for them, they are working hard for this matter. However, my relatively larger direction must still be "I just want to be handsome, I just want to charm others" (a serious book to charm everyone's look).
The Paper: ... So which niche movie influenced you?
Shi Baiyu: Each stage is different, and the more important thing is "The Juvenile Murder Incident on Muling Street".

Shi Baiyu: You asked the young people now, there should not be many people watching, this is called a niche. For example, some movies that have recently been broadcast in the Light Point Huashan Cinema (Taipei's Light Point Huashan Cinema, operated by the "Taiwan Film Culture Association" led by director Hou Hsiao-hsien, officially opened in November 2012 and often hold theme film festivals), because some films will not be on the big screen. Shi Baiyu: A lot of movies. At least one movie a day, if it's a drama, two or three episodes. I have also taken some classes, but I am still looking for a more suitable way for myself, and I think watching movies is the most basic and easiest way to learn.
The Paper: After entering this industry, will the focus of watching movies be different?
Shi Baiyu: Obviously different. In the past, watching a film was just to see which place was funny, it was the feeling of watching a cool film, and now I want to think about acting and repeat some fragments at a certain point, in fact, I can't put myself into it to watch it. At one stage, I especially liked to watch certain segments of the performance repeatedly, like the recent Lee Joon Ki's "The Flower of Evil", and there were too many fragments to ponder, especially the monologue section. But this led to me not finishing the chase, and it was not necessarily a good thing.
The Paper: Will you record it after reading it?
Shi Baiyu: There will be. I used to write in a diary, about half a year ago. If you don't know what to write today, just write a sentence.
The Paper: Did habits grow up or did they?
Shi Baiyu: After work. For a while you will suddenly want to change a life form, just like you may say that I will go to bed early tomorrow and get up early, and after a week, you will feel that it is better to sleep until you wake up naturally.
The Paper: Do you feel like you want to remember your current self when you write a diary, or do you want to use it to improve your learning?
Shi Baiyu: I want to see how I change after half a year, or what I was doing during that time? Later it may be that I ran out of time and I was not motivated. I have a lot of chicken soup for the soul in the memo of my mobile phone, and whenever there is a need to post, take a selfie, and I have a good text of chicken soup for the soul. Shi Baiyu: The plan can't keep up with the changes. If I really meet it, I will slowly accept it, and then look at whether I like it or not, what I accept at present is like. The main thing is that I feel that I can convey some beliefs, and I have always felt that beliefs are very important. Modern people think they are too depressed.

Shi Baiyu: It was just a dream. I may not have that time today, but if I have the opportunity, I will do it, after all, I am still studying my major.

Shi Baiyu: It's not curiosity, it's just that I want to feel it. Just like intellectual disabilities, people may think that you have to care about these vulnerable groups, but after you really contact them, you will find that the people around them who should be thanked and helped the most are the relatives, friends, brothers and sisters, in fact, they are the most tired. Everyone just thinks it's painful to say that intellectual disability, you want to observe and feel it, you want to help them. But who are you actually feeling empathy for? It's actually their parents.
The Paper: If you never had the opportunity to be an actor at all, what job would you be inclined to?
Shi Baiyu: Office worker. Because I want to live a regular life, I clock in every day from nine to five, a stable life, I can have a meal with my colleagues after work, I can take two days off on holidays, and I can receive a pension after retirement. I don't have a so-called holiday now, nor do I have a so-called off-work meal.

Shi Baiyu: I probably understood "Creed". Many people around me can't understand it and want to tell them, but they don't know how to tell it.
